I served out my detention
And in the end I got an honorable mention
In the movie of my life, starring you
Instead of me
When the moonlight, hits your bright eyes I go blind
And maybe next time
I'll remember not to tell you something stupid
Like I'll never leave your side
Like the oldest movie I ever saw was the one we wrote together
I said I hate you but I'd never change a thing
I can be your John Cusack
I burnt out
My defensive
Now everything I say is taken as offensive

General Comment:I guess FOB really likes John Cusack, he was in Sixteen Candles ("A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me") and America's Sweethearts ("America's Suitehearts") [the second one probably has nothing to do with him but I just found it funny]

    General Comment:I ADORE this song.
"now everything I say is taken as offensive"

But despite many people not agreeing, I do still love Pete's lyics.

sometimes when someone becomes so important to us, anything before them seems unimportant.
sort of a forgotten part of your life
    some say wasted time
so it seems like anything you do with them is "the first"

General Comment:eowyg really isnt their best album. pete wentz even admitted it was rubbish. im not saying its rubbish. so dont start attacking me. i think they got better until ioh and they just sort of fell off the hill into a pop pit (and dont look like theyre climbing out of it any time soon if 'i dont care' is anything is to go by). but this song and my heart is the worst kind of weapon is one of my favourites. pete sounds so pissed off in it. its great.

General Comment:Wow the whole "in the movie of my life starring you instead of me" sounds like I lyric I wrote waaayy before I became a FOB fan. I discovered that I wrote a song called Dead On Arrival and another about Courtney Love & Kurt Cobain (similar to The Take Over, The Breaks Over) wwayyyy before I liked FOB or heard these songs. Kinda freaky really but cool lyrics. ^^

in my opinion, its safe to say its one of the best songs of their older stuff.

they really have improved so much though.
