    Life can deal us some pretty fucked up cards, but we must still play the game called life. That's what makes the difference between those who give up, and those that prevail.

    In order to make a positive difference in this dark world, we must look beyond our circumstances and fight for ourselves...when we undertaje such task - then we are truly FREE!

    General Comment:I believe that songs may take on different meanings for different people. This is because we all listen to the song, or read its lyrics, with unique contexts - we're all different, and we each have a unique set of life experiences.

    So for me, this song means taking charge of your life, and standing up for what you believe. Being a gay male, I feel this song goes a long way to expressing how I feel about the fact that homophobia is the last socially sanctioned form of discrimination. If I don't discuss my feelings about my life with my family and friends, and stand up for myself and my boyfriend when it is called for, who else will?

    General Comment:This is such a simple song. All we ask for is to be free...it's all we want from this world. Sometimes we feel like our head's a mess and we need to go in a different direction and all we ask for is freedom to make a difference in our lives.
