Can you feel your heart beat racing?
Can you taste the fear in her sweat?
We've done this wrong, we're too far gone
These sheets tell of regret
I admit that I'm just a fool for you

Here is where we both go wrong

Tonight's your last chance to do exactly what you want to
And this could be my night
This is what makes me feel alive
Makes you feel alive

Here is where we both go wrong
So sign me up and toss this key
'Cause for now, we're living

In this moment that we both ignore the truth
It's all over, it's all over
I feel your heart against mine
So take a breath and close your eyes

[Chorus:]
Your lungs have failed and they've both stopped breathing
My heart is dead, it's way past beating
Something has gone terribly wrong
I'm scared, you're scared, we're scared of this
I never thought we'd make it out alive
I never told you but it's all in your goodbyes

Well look who's dying now, slit wrists from sleeping with the girl next door
I always knew you were such a sucker for that
It doesn't matter what you say
You never mattered anyway
I never mattered anyway

In this moment that we both ignore the truth
It's all over, it's all over
I feel your heart against mine
So take a breath and close your eyes

[Chorus:]

Don't shake, I have to see you tremble
Trembling, you've lost your touch haven't you
And I'm so addicted, so addicted

[Chorus:]

Ya, you're both kinda wrong, BUT right at the same time. Underoath is signed under tooth and nail, AND solidstate! 10 points each. and ya, they're both semi christian labels, and avtually, they're basically the same company...solidstate is a branch off of tooth and nail.

    But anyways...

I think this song is about giving into sexual sins when you know it's wrong. He says how this is where they both go wrong, and "in this moment, we both ignore the truth" and the truth being that what they're doing or about to do is wrong in the eyes of God. and there's other lines that suggest this as well. And in the chorus kinda part where it sounds like they're dying and everything, I think that might be saying that they're spirits have died from all their sexual sins, or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure y'all catch my drift, eh?

I think this song is about a boy and a girl having this meaningful realationship and then one of the cheats on the other. "sleeping with the girl next door.." and before that the singer calls 'the girl next door' a whore in the demo... so yeah. I wouldn't call my boyfriend a whore if I were to loose my virginity with him.. But thats just me!

I dont know. thats how I think of it. Reminds me of my ex boyfriend - who cheated on me.

I'm pretty sure that it says:

"Slit your wrists for sleeping with the girl next door"

if you actually listen to the song.

k im 90% sure i got it, this guy is mad at his girlfriend(maybe cuz she wont have sex with him, and hes tired of no sex, so he cheats on her, but he still loves her and he doesn't realize it till hes at the bed with his neighbor, about to lose his virginity to someone he doens't really love

Here is where we both go wrong(him and his girlfriend)

Tonight's your last chance to Do exactly what you want to And this could be my night This is what makes me feel alive Makes you feel alive( tonites his chance to do what he wants to( have sex finally) cuz sex is what hes all about now) Here is where we both go wrong So tie me up And toss this key Because for now we're living( he knows he did somethign wrong, so tie me up, and toss the key, so i dont do wrong things, i dont know what "because for now were living" is

In this moment that we both ignore the truth It's all over It's all over(he and his girl both know what happened but dont say it, but she knows shes gotta break up with him for his fuck-uppedness) I feel your heart against mine So take a breath and close your eyes( its way intense but take a breath and close your eyes cuz this is about to be all over) he thinks

    My Interpretation

I guess it depends on your perspective but I COMPLETELY disagree with many of the people on here. I don't really see where the song implies that having sex is bad, or "too far", It seems to be about a relationship thats pretty much over (something has gone terribly wrong...you've lost your touch) but both people are putting off the inevitable breakup and still holding on (In this moment where we both ignore the truth, its all over) because they are comfortable in the relationship and don't really know how to handle/are scared of single life (I'm scared, you're scared, we're scared of this). Im thinking it may be because he was cheating and destroying her life (slit wrists, you're sleeping with the next door i always knew you were such a sucker for that it doesnt matter what you say you never mattered anyway) Anyway I know the majority of people think its about the "temptation and evils of having sex" but I see it a completely different way and just wanted to offer an alternative opinion.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
