Whoa-oh-oh-woah-ahh

There she stood in the street
Smilin' from her head to her feet;

I said, "Hey, what is this?
Now baby, maybe,
maybe she's in need of a kiss."

I said, "Hey, what's your name?
Maybe we can see things the same."

"Now don't you wait, or hesitate
Let's move before they raise the parking rate."

Ohh
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now.
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now.

(Let me tell you now)
I took her home to my place,
Watchin' every move on her face;

She said, "Look, what's your game, baby?
Are you tryna' put me to shame?"

I said "Slow, don't go so fast, don't you think that love can last?"

She said, "Love, Lord above,
now you're tryna' trick me in love."

All right now, baby, it's a-all right now.
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now.

Whoo, oh yeah
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now, yeah
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now
All right now, baby, it's a-a-all right now
All right n-now, baby baby baby it's all right
All right now, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right
All right now, baby, it's a-all right now
Yeah, we're so happy together
It's all right, it's all right it's all right
Everything's all right

General Comment:It was actually written by Rodgers in a somewhat frustrated state after a show went bad. Awesome song, it still kills me to listen to this and think about how Free broke up on the brink of discovering something huge.

General Comment:Free was a great band. Read that Paul Rodgers lived across the street from where Hair was playing and he saw a girl from the show standing there and it just kinda triggered.

General Comment:I don't know how that is possible considering heavy metal wasn't around when Free formed in the 60's..

General Comment:Yeah Paul Rodgers was great with Free too. His label wanted him to call the band "The Heavy Metal Kids" but he fought them on that and said thats gonna be the name of the band. Thank God he didn't name them something stupid like that.

General Comment:This is song is actually by Free, and has only been released by Bad Company once. I still like it though. The band (Free) wrote it because they needed an upbeat song to end their sets because their blues rock wasn't energizing enough.

General Comment:this song is arguably my favorite to come from the 70s, though which of the 6000 albums this song was on is a mystery to me.

the thoughts and feelings are very straight-forward, very laid-back...

she thinks this is just gonna be a one-night stand like every other guy she's been with
but even though he's *having relations* just as soon as he's met her, he wants her to be his..
and it seems eventually, that's what came to be.
