oh and the part that goes "Another night and ill be you. Some other way to continue. To hide my face." is talking about how de doesn't like how he's ashamed of the fact that he's a murderer

This is probably my favourite mcr song ever. I love the emotion in the second half & gerards screams. But these lyrics are very, very wrong.

This song is about him killing the 1000 men so his girl can come back to life, and he's staining himself with sin and guilt, and all their blood is on his hands forever, and he'll never be or feel clean or pure ever again, he's staind, but that's ok with him, because it's all worth it for her.

This Song Is a Perfect end To a Perfect album! It ties in completely with the concept of the album... The man keeps on killing and killing... He steals the peoples Identity... soon it finally dawns on him how bad what he is doing is... He keeps on killing and killing, not counting how many people he has killed... It all gets too much for him... but he loves his girl soo much (by the way i think Demolition Lovers should be the first track on this album, it ties in completely)... He can take no more though... As he brings the gun to the back of his head and fires... He kills the thousandth man...'And down we go

Him and his love are reunited, only to plummet to hell... They were destined for hell... The devil played a trick on him, back stabbed him... Thus ending the story of a man... a woman... and the corpses of a thousand evil men......

Well, this is the song that got me hooked to My Chem, so it means a lot to me. When I first heard it, I thought of the whole 1000 evil men thing and pieced it together. So here's my version.

In Demolition lovers, there's a man and a woman who appear to be in deeply and madly in love. Something happens to the woman between the first and second CD and is taken away. The man is desperate to reclaim her, so he makes a deal with Satan. He signs some kind of contract but doesn't read that if he betrays Satan, he and the woman are to spend all of eternity in Hell.
So he goes off and kills 1000 criminals and social parasites. Because he will obviously be caught, he plans ahead. He stalks the people, kills them, and then becomes them by taking their identities. Every time he kills them, he takes on their identities and lives until his next victim comes along. He 'claims' each body as a number and continues to count down how many more people he needs to slaughter before reuniting with the woman.
Finally, he has had enough and returns to Hell and lies to Satan, claiming he had killed enough. Satan then produces the woman and they reunite which is where the 'we'll love again and we'll laugh again' comes in. Satan then informs him that he lied and for doing so, they are doomed to spend all of eternity in Hell. So they return to Earth where they are killed(because he got caught) by 'two shots to the back of the head' and then they go to Hell. But it's okay because all they wanted to do was be together again.

Ok. This song is about the guy collecting the last of his 1,000 bodies and getting to see the girl again. I read it somewhere, I think on imnotokay.net. Hmm...

Tried to hold on one more night without her, but couldn't make it. I think that's what the blood in the bed means, but I could be wrong. I think it's a continuation of Jerard's suicide.

i think the first time he says "another knife in my hands" he is saying he is killing another person in his quest to kill 1000.

Then the 2nd time he is referencing to that this knife is for him, and that he can't take it anymore.

I feel this song is definitely about his suicide.

The "they gave us two shots to the back of the head" are figurative gunshots.

He says he tried, implying that he couldn't kill all 1000 men. He then says "one more night" because he is killing himself and somehow thinks this will reunite himself with her where they will love and laugh again.

Also, he says "I can't clean the blood off the sheets in my bed." Since its HIS bed, i think this further proves my point that this is his death and his suicide.

It may not make sense that he could kill himself to reunite with her but this could also reflect that he has gone crazy from killing so many people and therefore his better judgement would be lost. (Remember, "I'm Not Okay"--could refer to his mental stability)

Thats what I think. Suicide. The ultimate ending to a love story.

i think he did manage to kill the people and bring her back, but then he keeps killing people, even though he told her he stopped (i tried, but i lied (though i dont know what's trying to do to go along with what im saying)) and he has the constant feeling of being unclean. but then the cops find out that they're killing people, and so the cops kill them and they go back to hell. but everyone is happy that they are gone (and we'll all dance alone....we'll love again, we'll laugh again...) and that because they are gone, the people can finally have their lives back.

Just throwing out ideas. I apologize in advance for my spelling.
Alright getting on with it, maybe the guy is an assasin. MIght have been said, didn't feel like combing through 8 pages. The song is called " I never told you what I do for a living" being an assasin or hit man or whatever might not be something you want to broadcast. The song says a bit about hiding too. " Stay out of the light.

All the photographs that I gave you" in hte beginning. If you do things that aren't well, generally accepted by people and could get you in trouble you might want too hide. I also agree with Redcherries on the fist page i would say they(?) died at the end which would make this a reflection sort of.

think that sums it up...he has to kill the evil men to get his wife back...from hell.

this is my interpretation of the line "another night and I'll be you"
K... So he has to go round and kill 1000 evil men, right... So after he's killed them (i.e. in one more night)... he's evil himself. So he's being them, because he's being evil.
