    My Interpretation:to me its about the anxieties of being in a drug riddled relationship and only he got out but she didnt, having drug problems myself becoming sober seems like being an alien because you have to teach yourself how to live again so the only way to do that would to be to love the alien

    Song Meaning:To me this is clearly about being in a relationship and not being fully commited in it, like the old saying goes you dont know what you've got till its gone. In this situation I think its about Scotts addiction and coming in and out of this world, and the Aliens being his family. When he comes down and thinks he relaises how wonderful they really are, but its too late and relaises his has to move on..

    I'm really looking forward to the new album. Slighty new direction again, with emphesis on American Idiot. Old stuff is still the best. Green Day still showing they are still amazing =) Cant wait for world tour..

    This refers to how he would lie about his drug use to those he cared about. If he said he was using sometimes it was all the time, if he swears he wasn't using it probably meant he was trying not too but still was.

    It is a double meaning though, because it also probably refers to his feelings towards his wife through their divorce and how he probably tried to mask his feelings towards her, even when he was using.

    I think this is one of Velvet Revolvers best.

    General Comment:Fantastic song, though it gets a bit repetitive towards the end. I think it's about, like someone said before me, loving that one person so much and then somehow the relationship becomes brittle and breaks apart. The opening lines suggest that he's very confused. He's broken but realises he has to move on, but at the same time he craves this woman who has now become foreign (alien) to him and he still loves her deep within. That's what I got out of it. I really doubt this song is about heroin or any form of drugs. The feelings he experiences are all emotional rather than drug-related I would say. But anyway, great song, great band. Very glad that Slash is still doing his thing. At least there is one god of a guitarist out there after Dimebag Darrell died.

    General Comment:i think this song is generally about change, in anything, hence "i'm moving on" that you have to move on in life, evn when you're not sure what to do. I think Alien is meaning somthing that is alien, as in different or foreign and when you go through said changes, you discover new and different and foreign things and you might never have noticed how beautiful these different things could be.
