I totally agree with im_sick_of_people! MCR DO NOT GO MAIN STREAM!!! This band is awesome and this song is so amazing. I think it's about a guy who has a thing for this girl but he feels he isn't good enough for her and when he is, he will be gone.

Helena and this song are so special to me for very personal reasons, but even if I didn't have those reasons, this is still a beautiful song.

I think The Ghost of You is about a mixture of three things - Gerards' Grandmother, continuing the album concept and input from the other members' lives because they all have a say in things, even though it's Gerard doing most of the writing.

Just to answer some of the questions floating around:

Gerard and Mikey are half Italian and half Scottish

This album is dedicated to Elena Lee Rush - Gerard and Mikeys' Grandma - and Maria Jose Santos who I *think* (am not 100% sure) was a friend of Mikeys'.

And yes, hotel bella muerte is Spanish (it means hotel beautiful death), but I guess Gerard just liked the phrase and wanted to put it in.

This song is awesome, like all My Chemical Romance songs. They are amazing live, so much energy in a performance.

The song meaning, well already the albums lead character has lost a loved one, tried to bring them back by killing 1000 people, and got locked up and this song is about The character realising that he cant bring back back his lover ''never coming home'', reminiscing about the death ''and i remember now at the top of my lungs, in my arms she dies'' and that they are gone and not there to help him out of the trouble he is in ''all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me if i fall''
Thats my opinion anyway, i love the way a song can have several meanings, but i think this one is pretty straight forward

oh it seems really bad that she will never coming home and im very sorry for the guy he seems very lonely and sad. very powerful song and music it is. could i? should i?

i think what lost all chance said about it seemed to give it a different view on thigns n it all clicked into place, seemingly, bits where if you were to think of it literally would or might seem out of place but it mite well b like that, a metaphor of himself dying. if ya dont know where he ses it its on first page here :)

I think we all hear songs and we relate it to something we know, whether it's a personally experience, or a family/friend's experience or even a movie or show, but this song has to do with lost and that's what we relate it to, our losses, and that's where we go back to our personally experinces, loss of what?.. loved one, friend, pet, idol, car, etc..., and MCR has a lot of songs on this cd that deal with loss

this song is so beautiful, it just seems to have so much love and loss and emotions especially the 'at the top of my lungs in my arms...she dies' its just amazing
they have truly outdone themselves on this song im glad there releasing it, cant wait for the video it looks amazing

I think that this song is about a guy who's loved one died, and he is sad that he will never see her again. It seems that he is so sad that there were so many things that she never told him, or that they didn't experience together. It also seems to me that he is saying that he can't even see her by dying, because she didn't believe in God, and will therfore not be in Heaven waiting for him.

I'm very diappointed.
I heard they had to shave ray's hair for this video!
Ray's Fro was cool! I know i don't want to see him bald!
turns out this song is about a soldier losing his loved one during world war two and not being able to continue fighting because of this.
And What makes me FURIOUS!!! is that they also cut gerard's hair!
I can't imagine gerard with short hair, AND NO MAKE-UP!!!No eyliner, no nothing!I mean, The make-up represented MCR!

That's what i've heard, the song video is during WWII, and they're in the army.
they're taking away part of Them!
the hair and make-up this is sad, the only thing i can do is avoid watching TV for a while until it stops airing and for ray's hair to grow back quickly.
this is really deep and all but it's not worth cutting their hair!

This song is about everything you all have mentioned but the one thing that i found in the song was the whole "could i, shold i" part is about him loving whoever died so much that he would kill himself to be with them again. that's the way i see it anyway. if you guys see the video you will understand what i mean.

well to me this is a great song the first time i had the c.d in my hands (first time i hear of mrc) i was skipping through all of the songs but this song got my attencion the most...maybe because he is talking about someone he really loved and he cant see her no more because she is dead or something well anyways i think i could relate to this song only because the person that i love.i wount be seeing anymore.......
