some of you people are just too freaking ridiculous. why would MCR make a 'gay romance song'? its about what people would do to people like them in prison. (hence the title) you should stop trying to find deep underlying meanings and just um.... read the title!?! I cant believe some one related the lines ;

to some one having a feud with their gay lover. ridiculous. good song though.

It was in an interview for rocksound magazine that Gerard said he wrote this song about kissing Bert from The Used in a game of truth or dare.

Okay . There is one change in the lyrics, its "Do you have the keys to the hotel, 'Cause Im gonna string thes motherf***er on fire" which is also the part sung by Bert. And Yea the song is about a time when he got drunk and kissed bert for a dare. How this relates to the song, is anybodys guess.....

i luv this song but i still think the lyrics r confusing.. oh well, its an addicting song either way!! ^^
Neways i was wondering if neone else hears "i cant explain i cant complain" in the background in the last part of the song where hes singing "now now now." i was kinda dissappointed how no1else seemed to mention it cuz its my fave part of this song, although i think it makes it really sad. But thats my interpretation & im prolly wrong so i wont say nemore... hehe.. Oh & another thing is that i cant seem to hear "take it like a man" part of the lyrics...i wonder if im going deaf or sumthin... ^^;;

ok for fucks sakes now people, ive read basically all the entries for this song coz i got on the net to find out why he went to prison and nothings been said about that really...

coz EVEN THOUGH ITS A CONCEPT ALBUM ,he does say that he puts his own experiences etc in it SO about this song...he obviously did go to prison coz HE EVEN THANKS BERT FOR BEING HIS CELLMATE in the thanks part of the cd booklet...

SO...what i wana know is...

WHAT DID HE DO!??!?!?! lol, im so curious, but who knows, i could be wrong and didnt go to prison. i duno, confusing but very cool indirect puzzle powerful lyrics :)

OK SHIT WAIT, forgot to say this...

if he DID kill someone he'd still be prison...so if he actually went to prison coz of something like a "gunfight" then maybe he went to jail for ATTEMPTED MURDER, although my friend was arrested for attempted murder and he's not in prison coz he claims it was self-defense (ALTHOUGH we dont know whats guna happen, his sentence is in September...til then he's under house arrest...cant even see him!!!! so he could go to jail...not for long tho...maybe like gerard?!?!?!?!?!? fuck i duno, im going mad ppl, help me someone :(

It's an absolutely amazing fucking song. Putting Bert in it was genius those two are awesome together. I actually directed a video for this at my school, I'm in a film class, and it had five guys dressed like cowboys in black (including myself though I'm a girl) standing around a mexican type restaurant splattered in blood, dead bodies every where, the shot starts with a close up of my mouth singing the first lyrics "In the middle of a gunfight....they say..." at "come with your arms raised high" it pans out to us having our hands raised dropping guns and money bags and me smirking. AT "But they're never gonna get me like a bullet through a flock of doves." I lower my hands and start shooting (which was so much fun) "to waige this war against your faith in me...your life," more shooting with everyone cops die. "on your mother's eyes." I stick my hands into some blood and push down on my eyes and drag the blood along my already painted face. So it goes and we're arrested kill people and at the end another cowboy shows uup (to represent bert) and when he dos that screaming noise each time a bullet flies and a cop dies (copyrighted lyric btw) and at the end it's a closeup of him laughing. Pretty cool video. An even cooler song.
