this song is def my fav song out of any mcr song , both albums, the way gerard sings it and the way that ray plays in it, so unreal and its great live. i hope they make a video for it soon but i know there next one is the gohst of u....anyways MCR is AMAZE

love this song even though the lyrics are something pretty whack. but somehow that makes it all the better. anyways i think the song's about being tortured in prison like rape or whatever humiliation ex. "they make me do pushups in drag" well i guess drag means drag queen so maybe the prison guards or other prisoners force the guy to dress up in drag and this is a form of abuse and torture? "am i losing myself"
and maybe the guy is waiting execution by hanging, electric chair or needle. that's just the way it looks literally but maybe there's more to be read into it

ok, first i need to start off saying that this is such a rad song, like really! its just soooo.. wahts a feeling for makeing you want to get up and dance? i dont know but this part:

i love this lyric i think it means is that life right now is basically preparing you for what is to come in the after life (if there really is one), that hes not going alone he knows someone will always be there, that he refuses to go anwhere alone... idk! something like that!...

I believe this song is part of the whole concept thing, but got a little out of hand, lyrical, at the end of the song. It has clear homosexual refrences, wich is very nice by the way, and I am pretty sure that Gerard is bisexual...Who is'nt anyway?

This song is awesome. It has so much power to me. I think it is about two men fighting for one girl, and then it goes on to one the the men asking the girl why they have to fight for her. He then says that he is going to fight for the girl, and if he can't have her, than he will bring the other person down with him. That's just my interpretation though, I'm sure there are many.

well, i read in a magazine, spin i think it was (but i could b wrong), that gerard had the idea 4 this song while sitting in a bar with bert. honestly it would make loads of sense if it was about him kissing bert((which is so hot its not even funny, lol)) but at the same time the whole killing 1000 men to gain the life of his dead girlfriend makes sense too. bit confusing, this one is, but thats what a good song is. makes you think a bit......... lol

sorry for double posting (i can't edit my post)
but i think i got it down this time:

this song comes right after the song "to the end"
i have a theory that the two songs are connected somehow, but it's merely speculation. once i have a full explanation for this i'll post it right here.
i remember someone in the last two pages saying something about him being at a party, it may be the wedding party referred to in the previous song.
i'll be getting more. just you wait!

Great song. I love how it starts out slow and kind of jazzy and then it rockets up into the fast pased badass rocker part. It's really well done song. You can feel the story unfolding with in it.
I had this whole big explanation of the song that I'd written because I was bored but now that I found the actual lyrics I think my explanation was wrong. My original explanation of the song was that it's about someone who's himself and nobody cares about him, so he goes insane but I had the wrong lyrics. So now that I've seen these it seems to be about a gay couple who get put in jail just for being gay.
Is Gerard bi or gay or is he just some straight guy who seems really gay?
