I only recently heard this song after a friend sent it to me. It's one of the best songs I've heard in a while; I plan to find many other songs by this artist.

This song is about someone feeling empty inside until a mysertious, sharming individual (ex in Daredevil) takes her by surprise, and desires to feel "alive" again. At least, that's what I get from it.

I used Google to find these lyrics, then I looked around the site and found http://www.songmeanings.net/addsong.php which is the lyric adding thing. These guys really need to set up better ways to get around; there isn't an easy way to get to most of this stuff.

this song as well as being in DAREDEVIL was the theme to the WWE No Way Out I saw a preview for when i was flipping thru channels and i wrote down the song name and i also saw that it was on the soundtrack and i dont believe that they are a christian band i think they have one of those sounds that are great to hear in music i think i recommend gettting it becasue its really cool

Serenity24- All of the members of Evanescence are Christians and their songs reflect that. Most of the songs are to and about God, this one is no different. As for calling them a "Christian band", well, that's your own thing if you want to classify them like that.

They sound a wee bit Linkin Park-ish in this one song, yes. But Amy Lee's vocal is so amazing - it closes the deal nicely. ;) And the orchestra is simply brilliant. Great song.

Eladan- good way of phrasing it. they're somewhat vocal about their beliefs (See "Tourniquet") but they arent bible-bashers... she just seems to write what she experiences. Linkin Park? are you people nutz? check out their cd "ORIGIN" and tell me it's linkin park. keep dreaming. By the way, Paul McCoy's vocals suck. i wish he'd go away.

I LOVE THIS SONG!! This is a great band...yes they are Christian band but that's a good thing! I love her voice and the sound of LP in the back even tho its 12 stones makes it even better..this is a good song to listen to when you're by yourself and you cant let your emotions out...or something like that...aha well awesome song great bad great music...thats all ya need!

Dont be soooo ignorant, just because this one single sounds like a likin park song, doesnt mean anything, the male singer is paul the lead singer from 12 stones and he only colaborates in that song. Hear the rest of the album and the besides they are awesome. Amy is a great singer, and shes only 20! i wish them the best :)

This song was how I, and many, first heard of Evanescence. At first, I loved it. I still like it, but after buying "Fallen," it's one of my least favorites on the CD...probably because of Paul McCoy's vocals. He's okay for the song, but Amy Lee's voice is simply amazing..."My Immortal" blows me away every time I hear it. What I love about Evanescence is that their style can change and so can their subject matter, but the lyrics are deep and poignant and actually mean something.

Erm...being this is songmeanings.net, here's my two cents: this song is pretty self-explanatory. Somebody feels dead and doesn't know how to really, truly live, and she's begging this person to "bring her to life". yeah...just basically repeated the lyrics, didn't I?

I, ugh, really like this song. Ugh, like I think Paul McCoy is one of the sexiest individuals, next to Brandon Boyd and ugh, yeah. :P Haha, everyone is all about what this song means to them and me, little ol' me, is like "Hey, yeah, that song is great man! Hot guy from 12 Stones, great band." Oh well...

Yeah... This is a great song for a Christian Band.. Cuz I heard other christian bands.. and there to much about god.. lol.. yeah i n there posed to be.. but i dont really belive in anything.. i have reasons not to.. but this is a great song.. and there voices sound great together.. i don't see the deal in what kind of band they are. you can classify them as a "christian"(i don't think so), or a "rock" or a "pop" or a "pickle weasel-bluegrass-polka-purple monkey dishwasher" style band, and they're still awsome. amy's voice is powerful and commanding. the song rules, as does the rest of their work.

p.s. my friends and i agree that the guy sounds like p.o.d. more than linkin park :p.

Evanescence isnt a religious band. They are religious people but they dont necessarily sing about it in there music. This is an amazing song along with the rest of the songs created and performed by Amy Lee and the rest of the group. There is not a day that goes by without me listening to Evanescence. They keep me going...day after day...Download all there stuff...
