    Song Meaning:first off the song lyrics are correct.

    the songs meaning is very deep.

    Its bout someone she loved ever so deeply and now the only way was she sees them is by dreaming.
    She hopes that when he/she appears in her dream that shel never wake and her dream will be reality like it once was. However she knows that its just a dream. This dream only belongs to her and her love.

    General Comment:ok SO i did say how much i loooooooooooooove
    It's got this melancholic but at the same time very in-LOVE
    feeling to it! i can't stop playing it.
    It's been 7 years and i still feel that funny feeling
    when i listen to it (who wouldn't?!!) Amy sounds exquisite,
    and i still stand by the whole "it reminds me of Vampires"
    or even young love (by young i mean when you first start falling
    rof someone).

    And this one and Anywhere do kind of sound a-like
    BUT! ! in Anywhere she's already with someone and that someone is adummy for not
    opening up! LOL... hay hay dumb dumb...

    General Comment:I really like the vampiric meaning some people have put to this song, but I think of something a little different. From the first time I listened to this sing the music at the start reminded me of a coral reef at night, and so I think of a love between some sort of mermaid or siren and a man. Amy's voice is so beautiful here it could well be a siren's and I can imagine one sitting on a rock in a calm sea at night singing it.

    Anyway, this is probably my favorite Evanescence song. It's hauntingly beautiful.

    General Comment:this song has always been about astral projection for me.. like two lovers who cant be together in everyday life and only at night they leave their bodies and can be together and so one night they decide to fly as far away as possible and to never return to their physical bodies and lives..
