I think that this song is speaking of Jesus' cry for people to hear his story.

also the second part meaning that there isn't much time in ur life to listen to all of God's cries to you and that you shoudl just open up to the love all arond. and to not do what the world does, because the world tells you you'll be alone, but you wont.

this song was performed by Pulaski Academy mixed choir, back when we were good anyway, we are awful now. the choir never fully recovered after amy left...she wrote and directed this song for graduation, class of 2000. it was incredible. im a choir music freak and it is still one of my favorite songs. ha...we never thought when it was performed then that it would be hunted down by some random obsessed evanescene fan and talked about by people outside of little rock, AR.
performance notes:
if you havent heard the song, everyone says listen at different times, it does kind of sound like rain, very cool
on "goodbye" the girls are divided into 3 parts and kind of spiral off of eachother. hard to explain, but very cool

I think it is talking about no matter how famous or successful someone gets, the should never forget Jesus and never forget to listen to all the "little people."

You can find it in alot of places on the net actully, try kazaa or even a google.
People none of these songs are about god, i saw an interveiw w/ amy and she said it herself, but like ive said a million times to his or her own and

I really love this song, and once and for all, I agree wholeheartedly with escence: this song is not about god, jesus, or christianity. the only song of theirs that i can think of that has christian undertones is Tourniquet. ev is not a christian band, they don't write christian music. but back to my main point- i love this song.

i would also love to have the music! if anybody actually has it, i would LOVE to get it from you. i wish they would publish it! i dont necessarily have very much time, but when i do im trying to transcribe it.... assuming i finish it, and its relitively accurite, i can try and send it to ya. ...also.. does anybody know if these lyrics are accurite? there are pretty much no two sites with the same lyrics for it.

I love this song. I heard that it was written for a High School Graduation so it might mean that you can do anything with your future but to remember your roots and to remain humble. I was also wondering if it was possible to get the sheet music anywhere. Thanks.

Yes, but it isn't CORRECT sheet music. Marcolini is brill, I know, but he most definitely doesn't transcribe perfectly. He blended the majority of the parts into one main tune, and I'm sure bits of the piano are incorrect. His transcription is lovely and nice to work off of, but it couldn't be used for a choir arrangement.

i don't think it just has to be a bout jesus. I could be about some one that has passed on in your life like a father, mother, sister, or brother or just some like a firend that was family or just really close to you. Like the lyric's "Listen to each drop of rain,whispering secrets in vain,Frantically searching for someone to hear
their story before they hit ground." It could me a dad never getting the chances to tell their son how proud of them they were or mother telling ther daughter/son they loved them seaching for anyone to to hear them dosn't matter who just for them to listen to them."Please don't let go!

I think she used rain because when it rain everythings slows down a bit and you can't really go any were and i know that when it rains i like alot about life people that have come and gone. But this is only what i think about the song every body has a different veiw witch is good cause music is spoust to be something you listen to and make it your own emtoin or moment in time. but again it's just my view on it thanks for reading :-)
