The bitterness of a love/hate relationship. I absolutely love the ending where they yell "CRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

I bought this CD after hearing this song, and I was pretty dissapointed with the rest of the album. This is easily the best they have to offer.

tsucol, I'd have to disagree with you there. I believe a good portion of their first album Feel Good Lost, and basically the entirety of You Forgot It In People is spectacular. The meandering, but engrossing Cranley's Gonna Make It shows their abilities to leave a listener wanting more without lyrics (which are a huge plus to me with this band). The crashing guitars of KC Accidental and Cause=Time illustrates their rocking capabilities. You just have to listen a little closer, and give the record a few extra spins than your usual sunday-afternoon listen. But, I respectfully acknowledge your opinion.

yeah tsucol, i bought the record and liked it but didn't think too much about it. then about a week ago i popped it in and kc accidental sparked something in me. it somehow managed to strike a chord with what i'm going through and feeling now. if yo like 'Almost Crimes' you're bound to like the whole record. it'll happen, when you least expect it.

yeah i kinda agree with tsucol. i bought the cd after hearing this song and anthems for a seventeen.... and must admit, i was a little disappointed, dont get me wrong, still a great cd, i was just expecting better, anyways, this is my fav song from broken social scene,
anyone know what they are saying at the end of the song.. soungs like some kinda whispering..

I think the great thing about this album, and even this band is the great diversity of song they have to offer. Some people will like some of the songs more than others. But BSS is a great band and they don't have a song in their reptiuar that i don't like. Additionally, i like the posts on this particular song. no one is blatently music bashing....thats refreshing.

During those parts where you have written "I told you we'd make it, on for another" I'm hearing "i told you you're making up for nothing". I'd always imagined that she said "I told you you're waking up for nothing" which I guess is a lot more depressing, but, aren't these guys hippies or something?

fellow bss fans .. i donno if u know this or not but bss DO change their lyrics a lot when singing live which is the reason why there're different versions of lyrics available and i believe that adds to benadutche 's comment as well ... nobody's been figure out the children sleep with dicks line yet??? hahaha
