You fought me once, but not again
Let me feel your heavy hand
I will clean your fucking mess
And leave no trace of evidence

I am losing you again
Let me out, and let me in
Cause you're not alone here, not at all
Let me belong here, break my fall...

Shelter me from this again
Dedicated to the end
Help me break my conscience in
to free us from our innocence

I am losing you again
Let me out, or let me in
Cause you're not alone here, not at all
Let me belong here, break my fall...

Mayday, mayday
Requesting permission to land
I cannot control the plane
We are in danger of crashing

I am losing you again...
Let me out, and let me in
Cause you're not alone here, not at all
Let me belong here, break my fall...
Break my fall...
Break my fall...
Break my fall...
Break my fall...

General Comment:I know most of Breaking Benjamins songs can be attributed to relationships with a woman . But most of the ones that aren't are about his relationship with God. This would be one of those songs obviously.

Song Meaning:I think that this song is about someone who needs to fit in, to belong, even though these people have used them in the past.

I am losing you again - A lot of times, when you've been used, the people will just dump you, and that's when he "loses" them.

Let me out and let me in - He knows they use him, and he tries to leave them, but he keeps coming back.

Cause you're not alone here, not at all - He's letting them know that he's here too, he exists.

Let me belong here, break my fall - He's asking them to stop treating him like this, and to be there for him.

That might just be my opinion, but I'm sticking with it.

General Comment:IMO this song is about a woman who has struck a hardship in life. now a man(presumably ben) is trying to crack her from her pride to help her get by. "break my fall!" isnt meant to be taken literally. its essentially "let me in and i can help" at least thats what i gathered from years of listening.

My Interpretation:I do believe that the "Mayday, Mayday" section is metaphorical. While a direct reference to his phobia of flight, he's also using it to ask for some sort of consistancy in their relationship. The chorus and verses both signify this with the back and forth feeling "Let me out, let me in."

Basically the song is the writer asking for stability. He feels he's being a good friend/lover/child/sibling and is tired of being pushed away and pulled back. Again, the radio transmission is saying that he's not in control of how the relationship works out, but he's asking for the other persons help.

General Comment:wow...just wow breaking benjamins incredible...ive had sum rocks in the road of life and their music relates so well to the hurt ive felt and the idea that i just need to get up and fight on... in this case the idea of losing friends strongly relates to an experiance that has happened to me in which everyone i knew turned their back on me besides my bestfriend...and in response to the hate i experianced i put out that anger onto my friend and it tore us apart. no1 was their to break my fall so i, as the narrator of this song does, cried out for sum1 to come to my aid. tho life is getting back on track the memories of the past will forvever control the path i will take.

i may of gotten slightly off in my own lil world there;p
