You were right
Modern girls always have to go
Right on time
Old-fashioned men always want a mistress
You were right
Modern girls always get their way
I was wrong
Modern men dream of what they can't say
That's alright
right, right right right
I don't belong

I don't belong
Why you sitting over there?
Why you gotta say it
If you know it's sounding wrong
Says that he'll apologize
And it won't take too long
Always thinking about yourself
You don't wanna trust nobody else
Time
There's a few things
That are gonna have to change
I'm your son
Everyone has the same opinion
Won't you please
Your time is almost over
Don't be mean
We won't get the chance to do this over

That's alright
right, right right right
I don't belong
I don't belong

Why you sitting over there?
I don't want the imprint of your key on my nose
We don't have to tell no one
Cause no one wants to know
Always thinking about yourself
You don't have no happiness at home

Oh yes we're falling down
Oh yes we're falling down
Oh yes we're falling down
Oh yes we're falling down
so fucking help me up

You don't love me
Always thinking about yourself
I am an animal
Always thinking about yourself
I am not practical
Always thinking about yourself
Was I?
Was I?

General Comment:I'm 95% sure the lyric near the start of the song says:
"Modern girls always get their way
Old fashioned men dream of what they can't set right
    right, right, right, right"

    And in the second verse:
    "Your time is almost over
We won't get the chance to do this over right
    right, right, right, right"

Also, like FireBaptism10 said, you left out:
    "So fucking help me up"

General Comment:I was under the same impression as coronalime222 was. I thought that it was about the relationship between Julian and his dad. It just makes much more sense to me. Especially if the correct lyric is "I'm your son". Also, when he says "your time is almost over" and "we won't get to do this over", I think he's saying that, as it's usually the parent that passes on first, Julian doesn't want there to be any unresolved issues between them, and that it's time to make up and get along,so to speak. All in all, I think this is a great song. I love Regina's voice, so it's nice to hear it paired up with Julian's. They go perfect together.

General Comment:wouldn't it make more sense it it were "I'm your sun" instead of "I'm your son" just a thought.

General Comment:I was listening to this song the other day -- and it applied so literally (not poetically or figuratively or anything -- LITERALLY) to me. I got in a verbal fight with a friend -- and he (the friend who was involved) could literally totally be singing Regina's parts, and it would have been a perfect apology. Anyways, I really liked VG5's interpretation.
