I absolutely LOVE this song, and the blasphemy of it makes me grin every time I hear it. Even just thinking of the lines "Jesus is risen, it's no surprise, even he would martyr his momma to ride to Hell between those thighs" is fucking brilliant and will put me in a pretty good mood visualizing Jesus brutally murdering Mary to fuck a succubus that would make a 10 look like a -10.
Yes, it's a merging of sex and religion, but the surface level is about sex. Also, the Puscifer songs aren't meant to be quite as deep as the newer Tool stuff. Look at "Cuntry Boners" if you want to deny that.
This song does touch on the "forbidden" religion intertwinings of sexuality, sure... but I would never suggest reading a Maynard song "as if you were a Christian". His references are always much more esoteric.

Meaning: The church will suck your time, your money, your everything... You cry for God, and go back to the church, you go back to the religion crying for more.

Most religions push prayer as an answer or a guide. Pray, Til I go blind. You can pray and pray, and things will happen as they are anticipated. Pray until you go blind. (You are not curing yourself with prayer). "Pray, cause nobody ever survives." Like I said prior, your prayer will not save your life... no one survives off prayer alone. The church community "sucks" the people dry : "Saviors, Saints, Devils and Heathens Alike" is what is promoted by most churches that we are all sinners. If you have been to a church, there are people who present themselves as "Savior or Saint" and others that admit to their "devilish ways".

What I would believe he is saying here is, that no matter what, you will always be ready to make that next step... and it will never happen. This is what I believe is the reference that their is no heaven, their is not step up.
Listen to it a few times after you read about Maynard's mom. It will make more sense. Also, you can listen to the song "Judith" by A Perfect Circle. That is about his mother too. You can tell most of his lyrics form around his mother and religion in some way...
No matter how goofy his songs seem... they always have a meaning.
There *are* Kundalini references in it, but it has its share of dirty sex and blasphemy as well.
However, much of those two things chronicle addiction in general. Some of the songs are very personal and about his own life, others not quite. I think this one carries over from that. The sexual addiciton is personified here. She is purposefully never identified. She is faceless, could be anyone. Those who've suffered a sexual addcition know that feeling well. They don't need to have a face, only the parts necessary to, well screw.
However, that faceless she is also that addiction. She'll make you cry to be back in her bosom? Sounds like addcition to me. She'll suck you dry? Addiction takes away everything in your life until you're left with nothing. Think about the lyrics to "The Hollow". Grow libido, throw Dominoes of indiscretions down, falling all around in cycles, in circles, constantly consuming, conquer and devour.
Maynard has always put in interesting religious references. Hell's bells, this is the man who wrote Judith, after all. He has depth and meaning to his lyrics. These lyrics are sexual, but not about sex. Addiciton isn't sex. It becomes soulless, meaningless. Perhaps why he references the embodiment of what lust would be. The harlot of Revelations. Lust in all forms. Lust for material, sexual, physical.
The other thing I noticed is his request to the priest he is confessing to. "Don't be aroused by my confession, unless you don't give a good goddamn about redemption." I think his way of prodding a bit at the less than holy conduct of so many of the churches blessed leaders. Priests take vows of celibacy, make promises to God, but he's driving home that the obsession is enough to make even a pure man sin. Or the not so pure.
