way good song, gerard is way hot and so is frank. the music video is sorts scary though...i couldnt watch it for a while lol. overall, its a good song.

i heard that gerard wrote this song about himself. he said he had a lot of self-hate and this was just a self-hate song. i mean if you recall, he had a lot of issues with suicide and other things like that. the title was dedicated to his grandmother, elena. they called it helena however cause that's what they always called her.

WHY THE HELL DID THEY RELEASE THE TWO MOST CRAPPIEST SONGS ON THE CD AS SINGLES?
why couldn't they release "i never told you what i did for a living" or "bury me in black" or "you know what they do to guys like us..." or "hang'em high" or "the jetset life is gonna kill you" (the good songs).
i'm so depressed......

These guys sold out.....

They pulled out of a small show titled "Rockfest" at Genesee Community College in upstate New York so they could rake in the big bucks and start thier european tour early......

There's also a misfits song called "helena". I thought this was a cover. I dunno, I've only heard MCR's version! Probably wrong. nocode speaks the truth. I mean, good songs (sometimes) but they're totally cliched and commercialised. Old stuff like "Early Sunsets...." is genius tho. Well, that's my two cents. mmm... hunny.

Plz say if you think im totally wrong, I honestly don't mind lol. Well Mikey and Gerard's grandmother was called Elena, but the song is called Helena, so I think they've made it so it's a tribute to their nan in a way, but called the song Helena so it's more about a girlfriend dying? The verses I believe, are sung by the boyfriend to the girlfriend, but the chorus, 'whats the worst that i could say...' bit is supposed to be the girl singing it to the guy. Eg, shes died and hes upset, 'things are better if i stay' means like, she knows hes upset that shes died, so is the worst thing she could say is would it be better if she was still alive??
