first off lexxrae, the reason i dont like mainstream bands very much is because the songs get overplayed and boring. im not a punk who wears all the makeup and stuff like that i listen to metal. im a metal head so of course im goin to say something bad about this song. the lead singer has an annoying voice and its pop. idk if ur a teenage gurl or not but if ur not idk y u listen to that shit

This is a very good song, I have heard of MCR and never really was interested when hearing some of there past songs, but this song is decent. I am a firm believer that you take what you want out of the song. I don't care if it was written for a grandmother, dad, sister, family dog, 3rd cousin twice removed on the mothers side, whatever. I take it as a powerful song about losing something and trying how to figure out how to feel about it. Just my opinion don't slam me too bad. Thanks.

Everyone has their own opinion. Who's to determine what's right and what's wrong? I especislly like deadman's comments. I respect them, even though I love MCR. Gay men are cool. They're awesome people to be around. Personality makes a person, not lifestyle choice. That's what I believe, especially going to Lubbock High.

And country does suck major ass.

ok admit it if it wasnt for me ud be bored out of ur mind on this website cuz ppl dont want to hear constant positive statements. age doesnt matter how do u figure it does? im 14 and i no 12 yr olds that r smarter than me. i also no 17 yr olds that r less inteligent than i am. thanx for liking my comments kanryou, rock on. ppl do have opinions, and mine is that mcr is played out and if they werent everywhere, maybe ppl like me wouldnt get sick of them. there r hundreds of thousands of bands out there and if u balance ur listening time of each band ull never get tired of hearing the same shit. u cant only listen to bands u here off the radio and tv.

alright pety, i no it might seem like i hate ur guts or something, but i dont. so dont get offended over what i call u because i most likely dont mean a damn thing i say. u listen to linkin park and disturbed and at the gates, u even listen to eminem. thats pretty well rounded in musical taste. its much like mine. linkin park is my fav band. disturbed is my 3rd (ozzy bein second) and eminem is my fav rapper. at the gates is insane and i guess sometimes u need to make room for the softer stuff (such as my chemical romance) so we probably got off on the wrong feet but i only do this cuz if u leave a positive comment no one responds and it gets very frustrating but now that i got ur attention. mcr isnt that bad of a band.

This song means a lot to me, but for an extremely lame reason. This was the first song I ever heard by MCR, and if it hadn't been for the music video (for those opposed to it), I still wouldn't have a clue as to who these guy's are... Thank SATAN for modern TV.

I ove this song...I've heard it's about gerard & mikey's grandma's death but i think it's mostly for her as her name was elen or helen i think...it's says in the cd booklet thing. although as the girl is young it seems like something kind of suicide funeral or something or possibly it has been done to attract younger kids...would you rather have a grandma coming outta the coffin? i think not! this song rocks and screw all the people who think MCR suck!

I discovered something very interesting indeed. This is a rare piece of information i'm about to share with you. The word Helena was an ancient Aztec slang term meaning 'Darkened Eagle, which was used to describe, well what is known to us in modern terms as 'Stupid Emo Pricks'. Yes, it's true, Helena is about how shit and stupid emo's and goths are and everything they stand for. And I think it's fair to say that Chemical Romance are extremely SHIT. I have also concluded that Emo's and goths are the most disgusting, repulsive, low some losers on the planet. Thanks, Tom & Dan x

Helena is about gerards and mikey's grandmother who died not all that long ago. i tinhk she was caled elena... anyways the song's about how he doesn't think he can go on living without her, but he realises that if he satys, they'll be together in the end.
