I was scared when I heard that they moved to Vagrant . . . significantly scared. This song more than assuages those fears. I always said they needed more "demolition lovers"-type songs. Here is one. It makes me a happy panda.

It's a really good song. I think that he can't decide what he wants to do with this person that he loves, he thinks maybe it's best if he just stays behind.

its "match you STRIKE to incinerate" and i tihnk also, "like the blade you stain"///anyways,i dont think the actual song is about his grandmother,maybe just the title. a few lines maybe, like "things are better if i stay" b.c she died when he was on tour, but the rest is about hearts being broken..well i change my mind,it cuold be about his grandma breaking everyones hearts when she died.im up in there, this was pointless..

Yeah the songs about his grandmother, i think i remember him saying that. But it's not like thats the only meaning you can get out of it.

Yeah...he said he wrote this song about his grandmother after she passed away...Thats cool when someone can write a rockin song about their grandmother.

it is about his grandmother dying. It's hard to understand with part of the lyrics, but when you really think about it, it makes perfect sense.

He knows he can't be with her because shes passed away so theres nothing more he can do then say 'so long and goodnight'..

This is my favorite song off the Three Cheers. The first time I heard it I knew the rest of the record was going to kick ass. And it did of course.

Where did you get that they were on Vagrant. If they were, that would be pretty fuckin cool. I mean look at their line up already, Alkaline Trio, Hot Rod Circuit, From Autumn To Ashes, Hey Mercedes, The New Amsterdams, No Motiv and now Senses Fail. But I don't really like Senses Fail to much. But if MCR was on Vagrant, the Vagrant Tour would be SICK! Alk, Fata, MCR, No Motiv. I'ld go to that no matter what. Anyways, a good song on the cd, not as good as Bury Me In Black, but still kick ass.

Best My Chemical Romance song.. by far.. I love it.. and it's not too often that you come upon a song for someone's grandma.. especially by a punk band.. very unique and awesome!

Yeah, they named this song after Mikey and Gerard's grandmother. My friend and I had a whole bunch of the songs figured out because it's a concept album but I can't remember what we said for this one. It's a beautiful story though.

this music in the chorus is so powerful. especially "so long and good night" that part just really gets me. elsewise I'm kind of disappointed with the lyrics for the musical selection of the song, but ah well.

i think artists write lyrics that mean something to them and can also be interpreted in different ways from different people..otherwise wouldnt they just say specificaly what its about?...just my opinion...
