Anthony Llyod cops horse like a reporter
a two hour plane trip from his life's work
his most important story sound is faster in water than
it is in air
a hydrophone will let you know faster that your
grandma and your niece are shot dead
there's a call at tonite's last hour
a bitter pill you've got to swallow it unravels like an
affair your only chance to leave BOOGIE TOWN
all my life in the pink city
a two hour plane trip from his life's work
his most important story sound is faster in water than
it is in air
a hydrophone will let you know faster that your
grandma and your niece are shot dead
there's a call at tonite's last hour
a bitter pill you've got to swallow it unravels like an
affair your only chance to leave BOOGIE TOWN
all my life in the pink city

"R.C. - Too bad. What is your worst vacation ever?
J.S. -AHHH! ....let's see.. it was kind of complicated in terms of what made it the worst because aspects of it were the best vacation ever too.I took a trip to India after I graduated college, but the person I went with was someone who I was dating. It turned out that I realized during the trip very clearly that it I was no longer to be dating. That made it incredibly miserable for a majority of the trip. And then, because it was India, every once in a while you'd see something that blew your mind and was the most beautiful and astonishing thing on the entire planet. It was very confusing. But it sucked. Largely.
R.C. - So you got there and then realized what?
J.S. - She just had super incredibly, inflexible culture shock, which led to her being a complete maniac and freak the entire time. Just really mean and shortsighted and eurocentric and unbearably difficult. She was kind of like that anyway, she just made it much more clear. And we were engaged. She had a lot of absurd ideas about what our married life would be like . It just got to be bad news. But again, interspused with some of the most exciting wonderful things on earth. It was odd.
R.C. - Well it seems like it would be good to have such a strange...
J.S. - ...yeah, for sure. I guess looking back on it, it was an intense trip. Maybe not the worst, but certainly the most intense."
