This is probably one of my most favorite sad songs ever. The chorus makes me want to hold my loved ones close and never let go. I know it's totally out of context, but I can only imagine that this is exactly how one little girl would feel in this situation.

i saw this band this past saturday at a very small venue, and holy shit. it was a amazing. This was the frst song they played and he didnt say "stupid" he said "Stupida"(which is in spanish). fuck I love this band.

in my world it's like this:
little girl being sexually abused as a child. he told not to tell anyone. she's got a urge to tell but she can't.... very frustrating and hopeless situation.

the second half of the song is about the girl all grown up, finding herself in another hopeless, exploitative love affair with a married man. she knows she can't ever have that man to herself, and that she's just being used again but she doesn't care... it's all she knows. she doesn't know about real love, everything is just sex.

i strongly relate to this song. it's so amazingly sad and hopeless.

"Loca" in Spanish means "homosexual man", so perhaps it is about the confused, secret and rather unequal love affair between a married man ("go on home to your kids") and, maybe, a person who is trans, MTF, (something which has been the subject of other Xiu Xiu songs, such as Dr. Troll) but not considered as such by her lover ("you say I'm a [homosexual man], because I am your girl").

poor denny was sexually abused as a child and cant get over it, join the club asshole. ten in the jar is always way better, but you gotta love that xiu xiu is still putting shit out. last fall and winter my friend and i would drive around with guns and shoot them and sing to this song. crazy, yes, awesome, yes, also. perhaps a desperate girl?

umm... by the way loca does not mean homosexual male.... loca=crazy... also i am still mostly convinced that the song says looker although it admittedly could be loca. also i think deny's explaination is the most accurate. also whoever said he says stupida... listen to the song again he clearly says stupid...
