well first off, I agree with factory81patriot in saying that the Coheed and Cambria album is amazing, just like the MCR one, in the story-line of the album...second, I feel that I can really relate to all of the songs on this album, especially this one. It seems to me like he's talking about a friend who he put his trust in, and how they betrayed him, killed him mentally, and now he's coming back for revenge on them, and won't stop till he gets what he wants. and in the end it seems like he's saying how there's nothing that person can do to escape him, and that he will always remember them, and he will always be with them, whether in actuality, or in a haunting manner.

i just saw these guys at the tweeter center...i was in the pit and i really felt every single beat of every song (and not just 'cause it was mad loud)...mcr rocks...my fav lines from this song are:

i think he's saying that the relationship he's talking about never ran deep, so it's easier to contemplate it and try to understand it...doesn't hurt as much...effing awesome lyrics, song, cd, band, everything!

well first off i think that this song is one of the bests on Three Cheers. i think the song is about a guy commiting suicide b/c of hard times in love or just life. and then wanting to take his loves lief b/c she screwed it up for him, wants to kill her for making him miserable. also he wants to be with her for now and forever...i dunno...kinda mixed.. or sumthin like that..i dunno..thats just my thoughts on t he song

first of all, coheed and cambria is an awesome concept band. their originality is unmatched. i have the first issue of the comic book, as well as both cds... good stuff.

but anyway, i heard from guitarworld magazine that this album was based on romeo and juliet. this song could obviously support this because of the whole "I'm coming back from the dead" thing. however, based on what everyone else is saying, i think that the album probably does tell the story of the man going to hell and selling his soul for 1000 men or whatever. it might be loosely related to the romeo and juliet story but i'm not sure anymore... i don't know. stupid post sorry.

I'm not sure if it connects the two but in the song "This is the best day ever" the line 'Starless eyes for heaven's sake' is sang. In this song the line 'Just you and I, Your starless eyes remain' is sang. I'm wondering, is starless eyes maybe a codename for a certain person? Maybe Gerard just likes starless eyes. Just wondering. Don't go all crazy on me if I'm wrong. Just want some feedback.

i got burnt out on mcr a long time ago.... but the other day i put this song on my running mix, and i heard it in a way i have never heard it before, and it made me think of spawn, which is strange too becuse i havent thought about spawn since i was like 15 or somthing.... but this song has a strange connection "the hole you put me in wasnt deep enough" and "im taking back the lives you stole" defenatly give off the same "revnge from beyond the grave" feel to them i mean i know alot of other stuff is going on here, but i just could not stop thinking about the connection.

I like this song, and with most of MCR's songs, I'm not sure about it. I get that he's going on about whoever he's talking to killing his enemies. He uses 'you' in different concepts though, sometimes he seems to be talking to his girlfriend or whoever and sometimes it seem as though he's talking to the people who drove him to this. Could it possibly link into Vampires Will Never Hurt You? Along with the idea of protecting each other from society?

the most awesum thing about mcr is that they're always MOVING. even "the ghost of you" is in constant motion and it's got energetic riffs and creepy cool lyrics that are so random that you can spend hours thinking about what they mean. uh. not that i don't have a life...:P kidding

i mean, the thing about love, and true love at that, you cud b so so angry and mad n revengeful.. but still, love that person(girlfirned?) so much that however it is, its like revenge n hate but love too and thats why it can stil change, jus like in yourself in a split second, well even a mix all the time, but i love how it demonstrates this in this song n the lyrics and how its sung too. one part i dont fink im clear on yet is the 'il take u home with me' line. i understand it perfectly up till then, when that line about takin them home whether it is a he or she, doesnt matter, the thing is, what is the fing with takin them home? maybe its a thing bout living and bein alive bein 'back home' again or somethin, im not sure. i dont no whether wen he ses then we'l fall apart means tht wen they change in to the lovin side of them bcos thts when its changes... and we'll b together etc after tht... but it cud also meen that fall apart bein dying, killin etc n changin colour, instead of meenin changin into caring n lovin but into death n dying n goin to hell (or heaven) with the other person. its hard to pick a favourite song wen ther r definately a few extremely gud ones on this album and seemingly more meeningful lyrics.. but its one of my faves :D
