most of the rock i'm into isn't as hard as My Chemical Romance, but the first time I heard this song I was captured. Musical anger at its finest.

i think that the song is about the fact that after a breakup, all the girls always ask, how are you doing? and all the guys say what?? "oh, im ok." but everyone knows that this is bullshit, because your not ok. and this band is the only band that has the balls to say, no fuck you, im not ok.

**and by the way, 3 cheers for sweet revenge is one of the best albums i have heard in a long time

Mothra... Ive not heard the performance ur talking about but i have heard others, and i think they sound fuckin great live! Goin 2 see them supporting Taking Back Sunday on 28th Jan 05 too.. cant wait!

I saw MCR live on the Nintendo tour before I was really into them, and this song really stuck out. I love it. The video's funny, too.

I've been a fan since 2003 when I heard Vampires wil never hurt you and never actually heard any other songs till about last summer. I've been an avid fan since and have a wall dedicated to them and my obsession ^.^

I just wanna say that I'm Not Okay is about suicide which is odd 'couse you wouldn't think a song about suicide would be so popy (but then think about Blinks Addam's Song). This is the only popy song they have and personaly I can't wait to see how people react to there next single. I personally think it won't be as big as I'm Not Okay because the people paying attention to mainstreem music want either rap/hip hop or pop/rock groups like Simple Plan and Good Charolette (not that there is necisarilly anyhthing wrong with these bands but its all a matter of opinion)

BTW I think Mikey, Gerard, and Frank are all super sexy ^.^ but thats not what turned me ont o them.

(I'd love to see them on tour they have been in Arizona about 5 times since the summer and my old man has refused to let me go to any of them, hope I have better luck with the Taste of Chaos tour in April, I'm working on him now XD.)

Oh yeah, I hate how they replaced "I'm not o-fucking-kay" with "I'm really not okay" wenever I try and sing along with ti ont he radio it screws me up and I think it sounds really bad >.>

well... only a few of you have gotten what the song is about. its pretty simple, if you think about it.

its a love song. he likes the girl that this song is directed at. he wants her to know that he cares for her, but she doesnt get it. hes told her in song (I told you time and time again you sing the words but still don't know what it means), but she doesnt pick up on it. shes close to him and thinks she knows him, but hes putting this out there for her and shes not getting it, and he cant deal with it anymore (You say you read me like a book, but the pages all are torn and frayed). so hes coming out and saying it right to her face and wants her to listen 'hey, i love you and you dont notice. wake up, im NOT okay'

what an awesum cd. i am obsessed. i remember that i was in my car coming home from school when i first heard this song and i blasted it so loud, started banging my head and almost got into a million accidents. Finally i bought the cd and fell in love with it. and frank too. Then a friend of mine tells me that they came from jersey. They came from my area and frank even went to my highschool. I looked him up in the yearbook. It was fuckin surreal. i couldn't believe it. THE CD's AMAZING!
