well theres where ur wrong, u shouldnt be listening to songs cuz of the beat u should be listening to the lyrics. and the real reason i only see 14 yr old punks is cuz maybe u didnt notice but there rnt very many older than that, maybe the older ones but there just here to turn all u guys into punks like them so whatever u say, u can listen to ur pop music all u want im not stopping u

deadman, you're right. I used to think my ex-boyfriend was an idiot, because he always hated MCR. I suggested he listen to the lyrics. Thick headed fool, doesn't know what he's missing out on. I think Coheed and Cambria have awesome lyrics, as well as MCR, lol.
Punk is such a skewed word nowadays.

well music is an artistic way to tell your emotions. so there for artists make the lyrics for u to listen to them not just so they are there. so in other words, its not an opinion its what the artists themselves make the music for. cradle of filth have brilliant song lyrics but they are so underrated its horrible. although u can find emotion through intrumentals as well, it seems like u just like the beat of the music. listen to her ghost in the fog by cradle of filth, they are the best lyrics u will ever hear.

punk is another word for delinquent, and music with fast guitars, fast beat and street language yet a happy tune is described as punk rock.
punk rock was linked to fighting the system when it suddenly became all they talked about, but now it's back to normal, it's safe to call bands like AFI, NoFX and The Distillers Punk rock bands.
but not MCR, MCR is emo, although some of their songs are pop or punk-pop if you prefer.

Maybe it's just me, but I think this song is about how people tend to tell others that they're fine when they really aren't. I imagine most of the song to be the things he's screaming inside, that he'd like to shout to her, and the one section where he says he's okay is what he says aloud when she or anyone else asks him if he's alright, before he goes right back to screaming on the inside.
