Actually old skool rocker is right.
Mcr don't play half as well as the legendary bands he was talking about, i love and listen to all of them.

HOWEVER: It's not all about skill, some songs are so simple that 2nd graders can play them, yet have a fun rythm to listen to.
And MCR is one of these bands who know how to make great music (this song isn't included)
without complexity.

And I do feel sorry for these brainwashed girls who are always screaming "OMMGG!!! You're So Hottt"
and shit like that without having an opinion of the
so-called music they're listening to.

P.s: Matt Pelissier is one of the best punk rock drummers i've ever known, so he's the best in his own league.

i was really mature about this.....

i agree with B12 on the fact that girls shouldn't like a band because they think guys are hott; they should like the music and the band as people not an idol of what they think of as hott. I also agree to the fact that it's not all about skill, but the quality and as long as you like them you should listen to them, but i think those who just like the band to gawk at thier looks then they should stop buying the CDs just to see pics of the guys and leave the Cds for the true fans.

I agree with myself that "hott" should be spelt with just ONE t. But apart from that I also agree with xXRoCk_QuEeNXx that likikng bands because they're hot is wrong.
Anyway, I think MCR is quite a unique band (whoever's got 3 cheers will know) Tracks like The Jetset LIfe Is Gonna Kill You, Cemetary Drive, To The End and You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison are just totally original!

All their songs are extremely original in fact.
MCR offers something to everyone, it's like a blend of all kinds of rock.
I never looked at one of their songs and thought "hey this song sounds like that one"
their style is in proggressive change and i do hope it's for the best.

i heard that this song is about suicide but i dont think it is. maybe im wrong but i'd have to agree with it being simply about his high school life and how he was hard. he just wasn't okay. it wasn't fun for him.

but whatever it means, this is an eff'n great song!!

Oldskoolrocker, how many times are you gonna say that about all these different bands...first you diss on Dashboard Confessional, and now you're dissing on MCR. If you dont like them, thats fine. Ok alot of people seem to have different ideas about what this song means to them, I totaly respect that! Now days, we seem to have lost the art of actually LISTENING to the words and meanings of songs and seeing them as poetry or works of art. Instead people seem to look at a band and compare them with others or how hot one of the band members are.
I am a female and yes I am attracted to other people, HOWEVER! I dont rant and rave about a band just because the singer or whoever is HOT!
What I'm trying to say is there is more to a band or song than just their physical appearance, they are people! This song is about people! This song has emotion, like people!
Bands make art, not beauty contests!!!

I dont really know what this means but hey, its the best!!! It's cause I go through so much of my life telling people im OK and its so great to yell out that im NOT and someone understands that! Also on the radio version, did anyone else notice hes taking the piss when he says 'I'm really not OK' instead of 'Not O-fucking-K'? This song is loved by pretty much everyone i know and everyone can relate to it. And the video makes me laugh every single time
