    My Opinion:It's a pleading wake up call to the listener. Stop and feel, care about what's going on around you, by the end of the day maybe it'll sink in. It's also a criticism of our culture - we're all about image not the substance, and the greed endemic to our society that feeds off suffering, how we're so apathetic and desensitized that it doesn't seem to matter. He's also lashing out at counter-culture movements that get snapped up and commercialized, and in the end lose their hearts to money.
