When I'm sure I don't know why but I feel so insecure And when it comes It comes like a great big lull But either way I don't know why but I get so crazy And all the thoughts get twisted in knots When I'm home I don't know why but I feel so all alone And then you come barring down like an atom bomb And I want to, but I want to But I want to, but I feel all inside out But I want to, but I want to But I want to, but I feel all inside out Everywhere you turn There's always something there And all the time you're getting nowhere Everywhere I don't know why but I get so crazy And all the thoughts get twisted in knots Well I'm sure Sometimes I feel out a little more And then its hard It's harder than it ever was before But either way I don't know why but I get so crazy And all the thoughts get twisted in knots Yeah I want to, but I want to But I want to, but I feel all inside out But I want to, but I want to But I want to, but I feel all inside out Everywhere you turn There's always something there And all the time you're getting nowhere Everywhere I don't know why but I get so crazy And all the thoughts get twisted in knots Yeah I want to, but I want to But I want to, but I feel all inside out But I want to, but I want to But I want to But I feel all inside out

My Interpretation:I always interpreted the song as the guy really likes the girl, and he really wants to be in love with her, but he doesn't want to get hurt again. Like, He has those feelings for her, but she doesn't really see him in that kind of way. And that's why he always feel's scared to like her. Yet for some reason he still is crazy for the girl. In the chorus, I interpreted it as everywhere the girl goes there's always something there besides him, and she hasn't gone for him yet, and she is getting nowhere. The Strangest Things was all about this girl, and in the song Tidal Wave he says; "I am every thing you wanted. I am everything you need." That reads off pretty arrogant, but I think he just realizes that he loves this girl, and she needs to realize that he is the guy for her and that they were meant to be. Anyways, it's an incredible song to complement an incredible album. The Strangest Things is in my top five favorite albums. They are an incredible band.

General Comment:in my opinion, the song is about someone who really has feelings for another person, but is too unsure of himself or just afraid to fall in love, to even give it a shot. he wants to, but can't. my favorite off the album... really perfect.

General Comment:In a very personal way, I imagine this song having to do with two lovers who've broken up. They still see each other, and even though they still have feelings for each other, they can't express them because they know it just would never work out.

General Comment:This song is just magical... I feel so great after I listen to it. It makes me think about when some one falls in love. How twisted you feel. How you want to be inlove with the person but wanting to hold back, not wanting to come off too strong... It's just great.
