I took their smiles and I made them mine.
I, I sold my soul just to hide the light.
And now I see what I really am,
A thief a whore, and a liar.
I run to you,
Call out your name,
I see you there, father away.

I'm numb to you numb and deaf and blind.
You give me all but the reason why.
I reach but I feel only air at night.
Not you, not love, just nothing.
I run to you,
Call out your name,
I see you there, father away.

Try to forget you,
But without you I feel nothing.
Don't leave me here, by myself.
I can't breathe.
I run to you,
Call out your name,
I see you there, father away.

I run to you,
Call out your name,
I see you there, father away,
Farther away,
Father away,
Father away,
Father away,
Father away.

General Comment:aufdermaur: if you don't like the band, then why are listening to them?

I know, I know, feeding the trolls.

Song Meaning:I keep going back to the fact that some of their music is about God. Tourniquet was without a doubt a Christian song.

The more I listen to this song, the more I think it is about her relationship with God.

For me, it just fits. I have enjoyed all of their music and the songs that are Christian like, are some of their best.

    Just my two cents

General Comment:At the moment this song means to me,
Person A is falling for Person B who is basically unavailable (in a relationship) or not a very suitable partner (Lose Control style) and yet she (A) keeps pushing for something to happen, and she's slowly changing herself and the way she thinks and person B is letting her, twisting her mind, leading her on, for no reason. "I'm numb to you, numb and deaf and blind, you give me all but the reason why"

She can't stay away "I run to you" but he doesnt need or want her past their fooling around, so he stays at a distance "Still you are farther away"

General Comment:i think this song is about someone who changed every thing about themseves just to fit in. And now they learned that they have become a monster. someone who puts others down just to get people to laugh a whore and aliar. The people that this person tryed to fit in with she now seen where never there and would only leave her when times get back. And she is looking for god to help if im wrong than sorry

General Comment:I find that this song is about someone who perhaps made poor decisions, isn't all that good of a person, or maybe is just living a lie. Then they realize it, and see how separated they are from those they love or once loved. They want them back and to be close to them, and they try, but they are already too far away and can no longer reach them.
