Is this real enough for you
You were so confused
Now that you've decided to stay
We'll remain together

You can't abandon me
You belong to me

Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender

Darling, there's no sense in running
You know I will find you
Everything is perfect now
We can live forever

You can't abandon me
You belong me

Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender

Breathe in and take my life in you
No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
Surrender

General Comment:Does anyone know for sure what she sings at the very end? It sounds like:

    You will surrender to me.
    There's no escaping from me.
My love will hold you to me.
    You must surrender.

I keep reading on other sites that the third line there is, "I know you want her to be," but that doesn't make much sense to me, and that's not what I hear when I listen. If that IS the lyric, will someone please explain? =)

General Comment:This song is directly related to Snow White Queen. It's about stalkers and obsessive love and it is very clear in the lyrics. "candycloud" explained perfectly my point of view about this song.

General Comment:This song means romantic obsession to me. Loving someone so much, you want them to be with you forever. However, the beloved denies this connection and tries to leave. The person in love finds them and imprisons and maybe kills them, and then is under the delusion that the person simply decided to stay with them forever.

General Comment:someone loves someone -to a very unhealthy, or maybe just romantic point- but the other wont let them love them back because maybe of emotion ties? eventually they both live together and everything is perfect.

the murder part that everyone mentioned sounded really cool too lol but i dont think Amy meant it like that.

i guess i'll just have to go over and ask her.

    ha. i wish.

no but did evanescencereference give a suggestion?

General Comment:I think this is a song written in the point of view of a stalker.

Is this real enough for you
    You were so confused
Now that you've decided to stay
    We'll remain together

Well, I can’t really tell what these lyrics above are about. Maybe the lyrical I (described as ‘the boy’ in my following text because I have to think of male stalkers…) wants the girl to believe that she would love him. Well, he thinks she would be, too, so it does not really make a difference to him. He tells her that she is only confused at the moment but that she will notice that he is the only person she needs. The sentence ‘now that you’ve decided to stay’ makes me thinking that he kidnapped her but because of his delusion he does not notice that she does not want to be with him in reality and wants to believe she would be with him voluntary.

    You can't abandon me
    You belong to me

This part is quite simple. He tells her that she cannot abandon him because they are in love and belong together.

Breathe in and take my life in you
    No longer myself only you
There's no escaping me, my love
    Surrender

The chorus was the first part which made me thinking of a stalker. He tells of his surrender to her and that he is only in love with her, that she is the only person he wants and he needs and that he would do everything for her (‘no longer myself, only you’). On the other hand he says that she can’t escape him because they belong together.

Darling, there's no sense in running
You know I will find you
    Everything is perfect now
    We can live forever

In this part, he tells her that it doesn’t matter where she goes, he will find her anyway. Because of stalking her he knows everything about her and it won’t be hard to find her wherever she might hide.
He is still in his delusion and thinks that everything would be perfect now that they are together. He believes his own lies because he is so terribly in love with her and wants her to believe it, too. When they are together, nothing can harm them. Everything is possible which is represented by the verse “We can live forever”. Together, they are so strong that not even death can part them. I think it is a very metaphorical sentence.

General Comment:I only glanced through the posts above, so this may have been stated, but I find this song to be about sex. And no, I’m not perverted; the symbols in it point more to sex than love to me. Even though Amy keeps saying that the pursuer is her love... it feels more like it's someone looking to "make" love. It resembles the situation that many teens go through where their first partner pressures them into giving it up. The words seem to not be written from Amy's perspective... but rather the thoughts of the person who wants her... and the phrase, "there's no escaping me my love, SURRENDER." To surrender her body into him and let them become as one in "love." Sex. Nough Said.

General Comment:I'd say sexual harassment, with stalkers and everything. I've heard the song, and I love it. But think about it; its related to Snow White Queen, and Haunted. Even when the girl tries to escape the twisted-thinking, harassing guy, he always comes back, and is just obsessed with her. I've been in this type of situation, and it isn't too fun. :/

    General Comment:vampyres?
well you never really do know....
i just think its about a girl who won't let go of her first love, so much as to the point of obsession

General Comment:this song simply means to me is that a girl loves a guy so much that she is infatuated and wants him to "surrender" to her and love her like she loves him.

General Comment:It could also be about some guy who used to hit his girlfriend. She ran away, but he found her, and he is convinced that she still love him.
