Oh oh, Let me be now
Hmm hmm, let me because
I want to be free now
Oh oh, free to see, yeah well
Want to walk away, oh oh
Let me feel my feet
Let me be, free

Time and time and time we see these
Acts against humanity, well,
Each for each and each will be then
Shed blood for what they each believe, well
On and on and on we go well,
Some will you see and, some won't be
True for you and truth will lead you
To a sense of, well now, peace

Let me be now
Hmm hmm, let me because
I want to be free now,
Oh oh, free to see, yeah well
Want to walk away, oh oh
Let me feel my feet
Let me be, free

Time and time and time we see these
Acts against humanity, well
Each for each and each will be then
Shed blood for what they each believe, well
On and on and on we go well
Some will you see and, some won't be
True for you and truth will lead you
To a sense of,well now, peace

Let me be now

Hmm hmm, let me because
I want to be free now
Oh oh, free to see, yeah well
Want to walk away, oh oh
Let me feel my feet
Let me be, free

want to be want to see would you let me go
Let me be now, hmm hmm, let me be
want to be want to see would you let me go
Let me be now, hmm hmm, let me be-cause
I want to be free
Oh, i want to be free
Yeah I said, I said, I said, I said
Free free now, free to see
Oh, 'cause I, want to be free

General Comment:I agree with coffeekat...we've all been there. i look at myself today and i'm totally different than i was even a year ago. i can also see where deathcab is coming from, sometimes it is frusturating when you love someone and all there songs and then you have a whole bunch of people who just love the one song...anyway, never heard xavier live, hopefully someday! love all his stuff

General Comment:Well teenyboppers are growing up; maybe someday they will like the other more meaningful songs! I'm sure most of us have been there... anyway, this is a simple, self-explanatory song about the problems of the world (war and peace etc.). I love the didgeridoo part! And how Xavier seems to be into the aboriginal culture. That's so cool.

General Comment:this song went off at his concert, which really pissed me off because while it is a funky song, he has done so much better work where the lyrics are about social and environmental awareness , such as Messages, but they don't get as much credit. dargh! all the tenny poppers next to us didn't know the words to any song at his concert except this one.. i wanted to slap them so hard! losers

General Comment:The song is about peace, and as squid said, self explanatory. And for those who have never seen Rudd live, you got to check him out. Great to listen to, better live.
