Order, Huh
Yo, We at war
We at war with terrorism, racism, but most of all we at war with ourselves

(Jesus Walks)
God show me the way because the Devil's tryin' to break me down
(Jesus Walks with me, with me, with me, with me, with me)

You know what the Midwest is?
Young and Restless
Where restless niggas might snatch ya necklace
And next these niggas might jack ya Lexus
Somebody tell these niggas who Kanye West is
I walk through the valley of Chi where death is
Top floor of the view alone will leave you breathless,
Try to catch it, it's kinda hard
Getting choked by detectives- yeah, yeah- now check the method
They be asking us questions, harass, and arrest us
Saying "We eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast!"
Huh?! y'all eat pieces of shit? What's the basis?
We ain't goin' nowhere, but got suits and cases
A trunk full of coke- rental car from Avis
My Mama used to say only Jesus can save us
Well Mama, I know I act a fool
But I'll be gone 'til November, I got packs to move, I hope

(Jesus Walks)
God show me the way because the Devil's tryin' to break me down
(Jesus Walks with me)
The only thing that I pray is that my feet don't fail me now (I want Jesus)
(Jesus Walks)
And I don't think there is nothing I can do now to right my wrongs
(Jesus Walks with me)
I want to talk to God, but I'm afraid because we ain't spoke in so long
(I want Jesus)
God show me the way because the Devil's tryin' to break me down
The only thing that I pray is that my feet don't fail me now
And I don't think there is nothing I can do now to right my wrongs
I want to talk to God, but I'm afraid because we ain't spoke in so long...so long

So long
(Jesus Walks with me)

To the hustlers, killers, murderers, drug dealers even the strippers
(Jesus walks for them)
To the victims of Welfare for we living in hell here hell yeah
(Jesus walks for them)
Now hear ye hear ye want to see Thee more clearly
I know He hear me when my feet get weary
Cause we're the almost nearly extinct
We rappers are role models- we rap we don't think
I ain't here to argue about his facial features
Or here to convert atheists into believers
I'm just trying to say the way school need teachers
The way Kathie Lee needed Regis that's the way I need Jesus
So here go my single dog radio needs this
They said you can rap about anything except for Jesus
That means guns, sex, lies, video tape
But if I talk about God my record won't get played
Huh?
Well let this take away from my spins
Which will probably take away from my ends
Then I hope this take away from my sins
And bring the day that I'm dreaming about
Next time I'm in the club everybody screaming out

(Jesus Walks)
God show me the way because the devil trying to break me down
(Jesus Walks with me, with me, with me) fades)
The only thing that I pray is that me feet don't fail me now

General Comment:The Bible tells us, "The sluggard says there is a lion outside." It is a mindset that's keeping him inside. You cannot take him outside because by nature he is lazy. The Bible is true in its entirety. When someone finds something wrong in the Bible, it is rather whoever finds something wrong does not really understand what he reads, and if the problem is scientifically proven, the only reasonable conclusion will be that our scientific advancement is too inadequate to grasp the truth, for everything that is written in the Bible is true. However, few people have the stomach to read the Bible and to pray God incessantly for understanding to come to know the truth.
It is understood that most of us cannot lead a godly life. What is not broadly understood is that the Word of God does not rely on anyone understanding of what the biblical teachings and understanding should be. Anyone who does not serve God has tunnel vision, he sees the world in one dimensional way, the sinful way. How he thinks Christians should preach or the godly songs should say is just a reflection of his sins and does not really have anything to see with the Word of God.
When God calls people, He doesn't call them only to become His friends; when God calls people, He calls them also to become His slaves. Though the word slave has some very strongly negative connotation, being the slave of God has, in practice, a very different meaning. It is bliss. And it is worth more to God's slave than to be the richest man in this world.
Each one of us will be held accountable for the sins that you have committed. Kanye West will be held responsible. God really is, and if you really decides to give your life to Him, you will find out that He really is, and that everything that He says is true. However, the more you talk bad out Him, the worst it will be for you when stand before Him. Serve God.

General Comment:I love this, it speaks to me in so many ways. It's not complicated, he just says he needs jesus. When people go on about how much they love jesus, it makes a person really uncomfortable. It's called alienation. This is why no one likes a preachy religous finatic, no matter christian, muslim, jewish.... I hate christian music, but this song should be an example of what religous music should be. Maybe not make all your music about religion?

And whats up with "Christians" that put people down for not going to church, or make an effort to alienate people, is this what god wants for us? Bullying people is wrong. <--- Emphasized Period

General Comment:In Kanye's part 2 music video, as well as the original one, he himself as Christ. In his song "Otis" he sings this lyric I made "Jesus Walks" I'm never going to hell." Mistakenly, just because you make a song "promoting" Jesus doesn't mean that will save you from Hell. Jesus says in John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Believing in Jesus with "all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" (Mark 12) is the most important commandment, along with loving your neighbor, and what saves you is Rom. 5:1, "therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ". Please do not let any rapper or anything else that is not of the Bible tell you anything different. There is only one way to Heaven and thats through Christ and faith.

General Comment:No offense to you young black people, but you guys have no clue what discrimination or being treated with disrespect like your parents/grandparents had to go through, you truly have nothing to complain about.... If anything you guys have more opportunities than us white people, and I'm not trying to put myself as better than you guys, but come on. Saying you're still in a discriminatory country where black people are the only ones being picked on? You'd best be lookin around before you start makin stuff up like that.

but good song none the less...

General Comment:i think you're reading into it too much, i mean yeah christian music is big but in comparison to other genres maybe he feels not so much? anyway, im an atheist and a lot of the time religion can frustrate me, but then i hear a really powerful song like this and it reminds me that it doesnt matter what other people believe or who's 'right' but that its so important to some people and its just what they do in the name of that belief that matters, like make beautiful music :)

General Comment:I think it's wonderful that Kanye wants to rap about something more meaningful than "guns, sex, lies, and video tapes," and I believe that the music world really does need more examples like his. But, part of me believes he could have made a bigger impact, and could have been taken much more seriously, if he would have left out the "niggaz" and the profanity. Does throwing in Jesus' name really make it okay to add in whatever other kind of language you want?

General Comment:I got the promo of this cd 3 months before it came out in the stores. It's a sick pre-mastered copy. Every song on this cd is on it plus a couple others, but it's much more raw than the studio version. Way better I think. This song in particular is sick because there aren't any background effects or final mastering involved so it just sounds underground like fuck.

General Comment:I think its ballin how this song has absolutely no instrumentals except a little drum riff and bass hook. No special keyboards and shit like "Put on" or guitar like "All Falls Down" this songs rhythm is all that angelic chorus vocals and shit. Thats some fucking talent.
