I wanted to point out the part where he says

You look so good in blue" is obviously referring to how she looks good when she can't breathe since you know how people that are suffocating turn blue or something like that hahaha. I'm guessing he wants to see her choke after what she's done to him and he's enjoying it. A little sadistic but hey :)
And this song seems like a story of a relationship to me, how at first everything was excellent and great but one little mistake ruins everything. I don't know, just what I'm thinking!

THIS WHOLE SONG is about the movie "Dirty Dancing". The title is from one of the most last act when Johnny(Patrick Swazye) tells Baby's(Jenifer Grey) Dad(Jerry Orbach) "Nobody puts Baby in a corner." It's not really obvious, but it can roughly be about the movie:

I thought this was just a clever way to say he's burning his bridges.

i think in this song he's talking about a girl that he is so much in love with and he knows she is cheating on him. i think he's trying to savor everything.. when he says 'nothing comes as easy as you' he's calling her easy and when he says 'can i lay in your bed all day' i think he's just trying to savor what he has left of their relationship... something to hold on to because he knows it's ending.

'so wear me like a locket around your throat i'll weigh you down i'll watch you choke' - i think that part is saying.. he knows that the thought of him and their relationship is always with her when she goes out and cheats on him.. but eventually the guilt is going to weigh her down and she's going to break down

this song isn't ABOUT dirty dancing; he uses the lessons learned to describe a story of his own.

he is in love with a girl whom he's willing to only have sex with because she already has a boyfriend, "i keep my jealousy close cause it's all mine"
"And if you say this makes you happy, then I'm not the only one who is lying." means he knows she won't leave him. he is "lying" too by being the man in which she cheats with.
the drinking refers to their time he values, but "light a match, leave me be" means he wants his feelings to end because he can't really have her.
finally, "the hand behind this pen relives a failure every day" just means that his same hand that tells this story touches her and, "no one comes as easy as you"...but it's all for nothing because she won't be with him in the end. it's a direct reference to sex, which is all he can get out of her.

Honestly i think the speaker is expressing his desire to be with this girl but at the same time warning that she'll regret being with him.

Lines 1-3: They’re both “burning down bridges”; there’s no turning back from what they’re doing
