Here comes my faith to carry me on
a faith, not a grave
a fight to to stay strong
so I stand accused of playing numb
I know it as wrong
for I give my strength
I give my heart
take these chains
and hold them as ours
for I must shine
and I will a star
in a season all mine

a lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
one minute, a friend, a road without end
(x2)

So here is the view
I cast about
I'm leaving no room
for you to get out
you'll never get out

Dove, can't you cry without an aside
be warm invite
I need you as my way
across my life
to spend these years
create a new thought
for I give you strength
and offer my heart
take these chains
and hold them as ours
for I must star
and I will shine
in a season all mine

a lyric, a time, a crusade, a line
one minute, a friend, a road without end
(x4)
a road without end

General Comment:great song , even if it is about religion, i think its more about just a "God" not Christianity. he seems to feel more comfortable with whatever it is and hes just writing about how it influences his life.

lmao at the guy above who said its evil religious ****, hahahahahaha, seriously how old are you, i hope you have a disability, where is the evil, i cant figure it out. what evil religious stuff is he talking about?

General Comment:People this song is amazing. Come on, about how religion/beleifs appear to constrrain but actually do quite the opposite.

'So take these chains and hold them as our' and 'a faith, not a grave' explain it.

General Comment:just because a song refers to God and such doesn't always mean it is telling you to

General Comment:and for all of you who think this is some totally different billy corgan, you obviously didn't pay enough attention to the pumpkins...

the two most important sp members continued to zwan, they still employ lots of overdubbed guitars, and, most importantly, the PUMPKINS did sweet, emotional 'prozac' stuff, too. So many people out there only know Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Ava Adore, maybe Zero, and Today and Disarm (with depressed/rageful lyrics if not a depressed sound)... but can't bring themselves to associate songs like Beautiful, Porcelina, Rocket, By Starlight, etc with the Pumpkins, because it doesn't fit their image of badass, angst-driven Billy Corgan. Too bad for them.

General Comment:Mogs, you ought to be shot. perhaps god does = god. but so does billy corgan. god = god = billy corgan. as proven by this incredible song preceeding many other amazing tracks on the, unfortunately, only album by Zwan
