Personally, I really don't like the way it was redone. It sounds almost haunting or someting, not much christmas cheer.

search search search. it took me a while to find it at first...but i downloaded it off limewire, it's pretty easy to find now. it's on teh Holiday ep

yeah i dont really like how they did this song. the vocals in this song are what really make it so great and jesse kinda blew it off. blah. musically its not bad though.

It's not wonderful or anything.
Jesse sings very quietly and it's hard to understand (we do all already know the lyrics though...I know).

So yeah, can't decide if I like it or hate it. >,<

Does anyone know if this was on some kind of albumn or what or why they recorded this?

It's so haunting. I can't believe it's a christmas song, really. To be honest, it kinda sounds almost depressing. But that's just me.

but i dont see how not believeing in God can make christmas an unhappy time?

christmas can be unhappy if your alone, have family problems or any other reason. i dread when it comes because my family cant be in the same room together. so for the day i have to go to about 5 places just to see my immediate family members.

i like the way Brand New approached this song, you'd assume it would be a happy up beat tune but its not...

i like how its kind of creepy and mellow.
it's different from all the other christmas songs blasting in my ears from every which way all december.

I rather enjoy this.
There's a ...taste of sarcasm and hate in it.
But he's trying to mean it, he's trying to mean what he's saying so bad.

I love it.
I love the feeling he puts into his voice.
He tries to put so much sincerity into it.
Like his other songs that have a bit of religion or "God" or "Jesus Christ" in it, there is some kind of grudge or sense of ...sadness at the root of it.

And it's understandable.
He makes it sound like "Jesus Christ" and "God" want him to be perfect, but he can't.
Or he won't.

I rather like this song, purely because Brand New covered it.
