I see your scars
I know where they're from
So sensually carved and bleeding
Until you're dead and gone
I've seen it all before
Beauty and splendor torn
It's when heaven turns to black
And hell to white
Right so wrong and wrong so right

Feel it turning your heart into stone
Feel it piercing your courageous soul
You're beyond now- redemption
And no one's going to catch you when you fall

I see you crawl
You can barely walk
And arms wide open
You keep on begging for more
I've been there before
Knocking on the same door
It's when hate turns to love
And love to hate
Faith to doubt and doubt to faith

General Comment:in my opinion this song is about religion beliefs - about a strong believer gone astray

"oh i see your scars, i know where they're from, So sensually carved and bleeding until you're dead and gone":
the singer relates to himself as someone who has knowledge of the same scars he see's on someone else, as if he was once a strong believer himself, yet got burned too many times from life to really believe in god anymore and predict the other believer he's talking about ends.

"I've seen it all before beauty and splendour torn, It's when heaven turns to black and hell to white, Right so wrong and wrong so right":
as most religious people see true and full fate as a beautiful thing, the singer speaks of the second that faith in god is shattered, and in that second the believer feels no needs to act as religion guides him to but as he wants to, to feed his desires, thus things that was wrong then are right now, and his route to heaven changes to a route to hell.

"Feel it turning your heart into stone, Feel it piercing your courageous soul, Beyond now - redemption, No one's gonna catch you when you fall":
singer - once a believer himself, point to the believer how the harsh life and religion restriction made his heart turn to stone and his soul decayed wanting him to realize that there's no redemption and theres no one there in the afterlife that will catch you when you fall = die, at the end.

"Oh I see you crawl you can barely walk":
beaten from the harsh life, his mind and soul are bruised.

"With arms wide open you keep on begging for more":
the believer keeps believing in god and the singer relates to keep asking for more to the believer comes to the same conclusion the singer got too.

"I've been there before knocking on the same door":
the singer points that he was at the same place, in those harsh moments in life seeking help from the one above, yet no help was received.

"It's when hate turns to love and love to hate, Faith to doubt and doubt to faith":
after long waited time for help from above unanswered his strong love to god is replaced by great hate to that same god, and the blind faith in god is replaced by doubts as if this god even exists while his doubts about what other non-religious people are doing becomes clearer to him as he embrace their way of looking at life

General Comment:I believe it is almost like a letter to himself, or someone just like him. I believe it is about life, and having to be strong for yourself because no else is gonna be there to catch you when you fall. you have to make changes and go through pain to become who you are meant to be. i think it is Ville's way of saying he understands. I just dont know whether he is speaking to himself, years before, or someone, maybe a fan even, but someone like him.

General Comment:I think it's about self mutilation especially when he says: "With arms wide open you keep on begging for more". It's like the person knows that it's wrong but still it feels so right. It reminds me of Lisey's story, a book by Stephen King where he says "cutting the bad-gunky" meaning liberating yourself from your pain by cutting. And I love how much the song make us feel the confusion of that moment when heaven turns to black and hell to white. I love this song :)

General Comment:I love everything HIM writes but this is one of my favorite.

It's about how they are so in love that it's beyond redemption.

General Comment:ok what I think it means is well one of you guys said it. when either your bf/gf treats you like shit you break up or they leave you for someone else and then they come crawling back because they've done the same to them except this time "No one's gonna catch you when you fall" get it? anyways I love this song at the beginning with the synthesizer and the guitar =D it's awesome!

General Comment:pretty much this is what i think:

'Oh I see your scars I know where they're from'
it pretty much means that she cuts and he knows it

'So sensually carved and bleeding until you're dead and gone'
she cuts and wants to bleed and keeps cutting until she knows she's dead and gone from the pain from the person who has made her cut in the first place

'I've seen it all before beauty and splendour torn'
now that she cuts, hes saying that she was so beautiful and her beauty hides and her scars take it's place

'It's when heaven turns to black and hell to white'
i think and i'm not really sure but i think this means that when she cuts, she tends to hid away from her heaven and turned down to her hell

'Right so wrong and wrong so right'
well yeah...its like her cuts to her fells so right, but they're wrong and though it feels wrong it feel right b/c it pretty much takes her pain away

'Feel it turning your heart into stone'
he can't feel her love anymore

'Feel it piercing your courageous soul'
it's killing her soul that he can't feel her love anymore

    'Beyond now - redemption'
redemption meaning the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil, if u didn't already know and which now means that she's far away being saved by her sin

'No one's gonna catch you when you fall'
she fell over and over again and its like no one will save her anymore b/c they tried to much times to save her and they get tried of it when she just does it more or maybe it's, realizing it too late for them to change peoples minds about them and no ones gonna help them (not sure about this line)

"Oh I see you crawl you can barely walk
With arms wide open you keep on begging for more'
she feels so tried that she keeps hurting herself and making everyone like hate her b/c she keeps hurting herself but she still want to feed her arms with more cuts b/c she can't get rid of her pain, as much as she tries.

'I've been there before knocking on the same door'
like i said b4, it means she keeps doing it over and over again

'It's when hate turns to love and love to hate'
when she hates it makes ppl want to love her b/c they care so much 4 her but when she loves she gets hurt and she hates it

'Faith to doubt and doubt to faith'
when her confidence to give her cutting and pain up it turns to her being uncertain about her giving it up b/c it had taken her pain away but when she's uncertain most of the time she tends to believe it'll take her into confidence

General Comment:I beleive its about something wrong

"Oh I see you crawl you can barely walk
With arms wide open you keep on begging for more
I've been there before knocking on the same door
It's when hate turns to love and love to hate
Faith to doubt and doubt to faith

and them realising it too late for them to change peoples minds about them and no ones gonna help them

"Feel it turning your heart into stone
Feel it piercing your courageous soul
    Beyond now - redemption
No one's gonna catch you when you fall
