Absolutely one of the best him lyrics. I see it as refering to the fact most of the time beauty and substance cant be had together. Also that when beauty is found, and im speaking physically, it can make even the strongest people forget that substance even exists, even if it mattered more than anything to them beforehand. Anyone else see where im coming from?

quiffporn, i got song bands that you would enjoy...ever heard of Winds? www.winds.ws is their homepage. Its a mix of classical music and metal. You either love it or hate it.
Oh sry guys, HIM is better than i thought. I LOVE HIM!!! THEY ROCK!!!

well not really i just lied so that everyone would like me. I hate HIM. Being a musician myself, i dont see any talent in this band. And to make a long story short...Most all love metal sucks.

First of all, I would like to say good job man. Now, I may be a HIM fan, but just as you continue to do, everyone is allowed to express their point of view. Although I do agree with many of the other users and their views, you still have the right to say whatever you want. If people do not like what you have to say, they can just ignore it. No one is holding a gun to their heads and threatening to pull the trigger if they do not respond.
As for HIM being a shitty band, it all depends on the mood. That's the wonderful thing about music. There are thousands of songs for any mood you might be in. Sometimes I enjoy HIM, while other times I want to throw their cd into the fuckin blender and it "High".

But whatever you do, don't listen to these people telling you to stop what you write, 'cuz it makes me laugh my ass off everytime I read it!!

ok i have to make a point here. in actual fact there is no such thing as a good or bad song, its all a matter of personal opinion. personally i do like him and i think this song is good but quiff you can think whatever you like about it! everyone is entitled to their own opinion so everyone else can fuck off! ok i see their point ..why are you on these pages if you don't like him?? but stil if quiff dont like him then thats his decision! no1 else can go round sayin this that and the other to try and push their own point of view! everyone has different tastes so get used to it!

Him is the best band in the world and fuck does who think there satanic i agree with rock chick they play love metal and HIM use to be called His Infernal Majasty but Villie said people started thinking they were satanic beacause of the name His Infernal Majasty but he said no there not part of that genre and they dont want to do nothing with the devil so they decided to name the band HIM so technaclly it still stands for His Infernal Majasty but there not satanic

I've only read half of this particular threat but I've got to say I'm all for quiffporn stating his opinion on HIM... he doesn't like them... oh well, who says he has to like them just to post on here? Personally I love him and I'm not a 14 year old girl, I'm a 19 year old guy and I'm into all sorts of music, mostly heavy s*** but I love pretty much anything except pop and dance s***. But the one thing I will say is quiffporn, we know you don't like them, but you don't need to say almost the same thing in every thread, I've only read 4 so far and it's the same thing in all of them. On the other hand, everyone else if you have a problem with it... just don't reply to him... Simple.

As for this song, in short I think it's basically about loving someone who doesn't love you back. That's the short version anyway.

As far as quiff goes at the expense of sounding cliche opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Therefore, people like quiff who come on these boards and bash the bands are just to be ignored because they are just asking for attention. The best thing to do as aforemetioned is to ignore the person. That is what makes our country so great. We can have beliefs that don't agree with everyone else, and not get killed for it. So that is about it. And by the way I am a 20 year old male who listens to HIM just to disprove the stereotype earlier. Oh and this song is great :)

Burried alive by love is a great song, it's moody and a little pessemistic but generally depicts the battle we all go through at one point or another, when we're overwhelmed by someone, when they've become our world. I can see why some people don't like HIM, I understand that his insistance upon the morbid and dark can seem a little too repetative to some, but I personally beleive that Ville is incredibly intelligent, and I enjoy every word that spills from his lips. He has a strong voice and isn't afraid to tell people where he came from. He's always credeting Black Sabbath, Iggy Pop, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Kiss, and the like for his inspiration. All I have to say is that I admire his stregnth. He may sound like a watered down version of the Cure or Depeche mode, but he's not. Theres an acidic taste to his lyrics. It's metal, really. Pick up a Daniel Lioneye record. That kid will blow your mind.

And yes. I am 15, and I'm a girl. I don't wear tons of black though. I'm not hormone driven though.

btw.... 19 year old female.... horse trainer... own very little black (im sure thats part of your sterotype for "goth") and i do listen to country and other types of music. im very open... unlike you i see. you go to a HIM concert and see for yourself what HIM fans are made of. and oh btw.... using big words to make yourself look intelligent... doesnt make you intelligent unless you know what they mean AND you use them in the right context. and the name calling just makes you look less intelligent than you already look. knocks you down a few in my book. :)

HIM is awesome. The songs make me wanna pop a few vicodin, but hey. That's why they're great.
Killswitch Engage is awesome. Don't bash Slipknot, you fuckin' pussy. Christ. Bam sucks.
And, I'm not one of those '' gothy '' people.
I don't wear black. In fact, I wear the brightest fucking colors that make you want to stab your eyes out. =)
Ehh, all in all, Finnish music is awesome. Go Finland.

I have been to a HIM concert and it was crap. HIM are not a good live band, unless you are into their music. I couldn't help but feel disgusted and creeped out by it. Disgusted at the kids at the front, crying and creeped out, by the, all too apparent, 'cultlike' feel to the whole thing. It isn't a gig, it is a religious ceremony, at which, a bunch of kids gather together, to worship Ville Valo.
Apart from a few people, the crowd was made up of 'angst-ridden 14 year old girls and their Bam Margera obsessed boyfriends, all sporting bad hair cuts.

I don't have an absolute definition of a 'Goth', but I think we all know what a Goth is. This seems irrelavent to me, anyway, as (what I would deem to be) real goths, don't listen to HIM, anyway.


Finally, I really don't care, how you rate me in your 'book'. All I care about is that you take your own advice and leave me to dwell in my bitter little rain cloud.
