And loves light blue
Led me to you
Through all the emptiness that had become my home
Love's lies cruel
Introduced me to you
And that moment I knew I was out of hope
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Love's icy tomb
Dug open for you
Lies in a cemetery that bares my name
Love's violent tune
From me to you
Rips your heart out and leaves you
Bleeding with a smile on your face
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Loves light blue
Took me from you
And that moment I knew I was out of hope
Again
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Love said no
And love said no
Led me to you
Through all the emptiness that had become my home
Love's lies cruel
Introduced me to you
And that moment I knew I was out of hope
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Love's icy tomb
Dug open for you
Lies in a cemetery that bares my name
Love's violent tune
From me to you
Rips your heart out and leaves you
Bleeding with a smile on your face
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Loves light blue
Took me from you
And that moment I knew I was out of hope
Again
Kill me
I begged and love said no
Leave me
For dead and let me go
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Kill me
I cried and love said no
Love said no
And love said no

Very beautiful!...Same as every Valo`s song...Many people find themselves in them
The first verse is explaining the layout of the story (we'll go with a male for now as the hopeless romantic). He has finally found his match, but sadly for reasons unknown he can't have her. "Love lies cruel" means that he feels like Love has pulled a nasty joke on his heart, making him feel the way he does for this other person. He realized over time that there was no hope of this love happening. Maybe they were together before, who knows.
The chorus then explains that since he can't have the person he yearns for, he feels that Love will become the death of him. He pleads for death but he simply can't bring himself to it. He doesn't feel right on this earth, and would prefer to die than go on feeling the way he does.
The second verse shows that apathy is settling in. Since he has no hope, the love he had for this person is buried deep in his heart which he refers to as an icy tomb. No love, no reason to have a kind, caring heart. Love had made this person notice him as another cruel joke (Love's violent tune, from me to you..), but without that kind, loving heart inside of him, there's no reason to feel love for him so this person gives up on that thought.
In the end where it goes, "Love's light blue took me from you, and at that moment I knew that I was out of hope again," I believe that this is portraying the end of a tragedy. The man has become apathetic in his loss of hope for love, and the person he yearned for walked away without a second thought. He feels that love returning upon realizing that she walked away, but it's too late and there's no longer hope for that love.
I might be wrong, but that is what I pulled from the lyrics and I can strongly relate to this.
When I was young, I had a love/realtionship that literraly destroyed my life (i mean DESTROYED with a capital D) and I ended up trying to commit suicide on several occasions, but no matter how hard I tried to kill myself, I somehow (and sometimes very mysteriously) survived. I had begged for death and was denied.
Thing was, I knew I was in trouble when I met my love and knew I was even worse off when it was lost. I am still out of hope, and every day I wish that I had succeeded in killing myself all those years ago. And somehow, some way, I still love that person.
"kill me!", i begged and love said "NO"
like he didnt want to live anymore but it was love that rescued him.
I've been loving this song so much but didn't really understand why. Riff is good, lyrics are amazing...but why? There's something I couldn't understand. The "Kill me, I begged, and love said no". It made no sense to me. Why would you beg the person you love to kill you? Because if she/he did love you, you would be happy as hell, and if he/she didn't, why would she/he say no? (you would have tried so much to be loved that he/she would love to kill you)
I think he reffers to his alcohol addiction. The doctors said if he didn't quit drinking he would die of a heart attack within some months. So he went to detox and stopped the extremely heavy drinking.
.....Why? Why voluntarily and "so easy"?
Because I think he is (like me and many others) a dreamer, a lover, an extremely sensitive person who loves to love someone.
He was (and probably will be, as me and many others) lost, drinking to forget, to dream freely, to stop the pain...ultimatly, by drinking so much, begging for death ("kill me, I begged"). But the dreaming, loving part of him "said no".
Or, better yet, just get lost.
This page is for people who appreciate the music & lyrics, not for persons like you who want to make fun of everything that isn't their taste in music.
Sorry, but most people usually have enough sense to keep rather rude oppinions to themselves.
Now, on to the song.
This is third on my list of favourite HIM songs, mainly because it is so beautiful (and has quite a bit of Burton invloved, so don't mind me & my Burton obession).
It always makes me want to cry, or cry, because of the lyrics.
Personally, these lyrics always hit very close to home for me. It's a break-up favourite of mine.
