    General Comment:This song was considered and left off both Ten and Vs. I believe the version on Lost Dogs was an instrumental with the lyrics recorded sometime after 1997, judging on Eddie's voice and the way he growls when he sings certain parts. The version that was from the early years is an acoustic version on the Vs/Vitalogy reissue.

    General Comment:Actually this was an out take from Ten, they messed up the Lost Dogs liner notes and they incorrectly state that Hold On was an out take from Vs... it's since been corrected on Pearl Jam's website... For proof check out the wikipedia entry for Lost Dogs...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/…

    1. It sounds amazing, so beautiful both the music and his voice.

    Before I couldn't fight. Now I can and will.
    This song means to me what I felt and still feel:
    I feel like I'm riding on a black horse without any reins, and I know that my life can be good, but all I need to do is hold on, but it's so hard, sometimes almost impossible.
    That horse is life, and I can't control it, but some things I still can if I try, because It's my life.

    General Comment:Okay, I probably didn't make that comment clear enough. I meant that the person who decided it shouldn't be on Vs needs to be court-martialled. Although that's a bad idea because it was probably someone in the band.
