Outside
My door
Unlocked
I'm lookin'
At this sound
That chime out of nowhere
Yeah, nowhere
Whoo
Wheels turnin'
Scratchin'
And burnin'
Yeah
I fought guns
Tanks
Cannon
Cannon
Yeah
Tell me who's that writin'
John the revelator
Tell me who's that writin'
John the revelator
Tell me who's that writin'
John the revelator
Wrote the book on the seven seas
Christ went down on Easter mornin'
Mary mother went down to see it
Gotta tell my disciples to meet me in Galilee
Who's writin'
John the revelator
Tell me who's that writin'
John the revelator
Tell me who's that writin'
John the revelator
Wrote the book on the seven seas
Hey
Whoo
Lord above
I command
I've been evil
Evil
Yeah
Evil

    My Interpretation

Hmm, ...just have a few notes yet. Its a guy dying on the battlefield, and perhaps hearing the blues song. Who is the writer when a song is inspired? In Ch. 1, who is the letter from? When Jesus says "write this" (Ch.1- even more, consider 1:8!)? Jack changes Mary Magdalene for Mary mother on Easter morning. May Mother was not told at the annunciation what she would face at the crucifixion, no is it clear how she was convinced of the Resurrection, but John may write one of his 3 letters to her in Jerusalem, from Ephesus. Magdalene- who holds the place a wife would hold were Jesus mortal- images the Church as Bride, as in Ch. 19-21, (As distinct from Church as Mother, in Baptism, imaged by Mother Mary, as in Baptism). Magdalene- the fist to see the risen Christ- is told Easter morning to tell the Apostles to meet him in Galilee, where Peter, at the 2nd charcoal fire, is told of three kinds of love, "agape," "philo" and "philo," lambs, tend sheep, feed sheep. (I know, cause I am the cat shepherd!). So, it is about the contrast between war soldiering and the things soldiers do and what the Revelation means we should do, the Revelation Easter morning, and what this means to a soldier as he is dying. The unlocked door too is from The Revelation, so we hope for this guy, but the fire makes us worry for him. Depends maybe on what he means, "I command..."
