A desperate situation
Forced to retaliation
The task ahead a burden
Men will suffer, that's for certain
We'll charging to the fire
The cause, we must inspire
We raise our fist to tyranny
A high price, freedom is not free

The odds are stacked against us
But with our resolve relentless
An arrogance their weakness
Our cause is just, we won't be beaten
Upon this deceleration
Will come a grand new nation
Where men are seen as equal
Governed by and for the people

[Chorus]
So we make our stand and pray
On this Declaration Day
For independence I will fight
With liberty I will defy
So we make our stand and pray
On this Declaration Day
Give me liberty or give me death
I'll fight 'till my last breath

With virtue as our beacon
Our cause is charged as treason
Battle worn and starving
Through the hell of war we'll keep marching
The birth of our new nation
An act of desperation
We'll force King George down to his knees
Capitulation

So we make our stand and pray
On this Declaration Day
For independence I will fight
With liberty, I will defy
So we make our stand and pray
On this Declaration Day
Give me liberty or give me death
I'll fight 'till my last breath

I believe it's about the revolutionary war between the american and british, in the 1600's or so.

quit being so superior. This song seems to me to be about a form of breaking free from a corrupt government to me but everyone is entitled to their own opinions

The song is about the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution. This is not opinion. References to the phrase "give me liberty or give me death" and to King George should make that obvious.

and considering the artwork accompanying the lyrics show an american soldier fighting a redcoat over the dec. of ind. says a lot about the meaning. not really open to a different interpretation there...

Wow it's amazing how many idiots can post in one song thread. First off the Revolutionary war was in the 1700's. Not the 1600's or the 19th century. And yes the song is about the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary war. The lyrics, song title and artwork for the song on the album should be clear enough. Why do some of you try to make things into something their not? wow

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
