It'd be nice - in this day and age, to meet a guy without the pressures of technology on our life. This might be completely off topic but there's a guy I really care about. We get along so well. Yet when he gets a spare moment, even when we're together, amongst friends, he's on his iPhone checking social media, looking on Facebook.
People are addicted to this kind of thing nowadays. People are losing themselves to it, people are forgetting what they want in a relationship, who they are as a person even because they are so consumed in the hype of other people's lives.
Nobody knows anything about themselves because they're all worried about everybody else. More concerned what others think, care more for what others are doing. Jack Johnson's music takes me away - to a warm, beautiful coast, somewhere far away, with good company, a drink and sunshine. Why don't we get together and we can waste everything tonight - make love and forget about all the other shit.
It'd be nice for him to recognise just how much fine each other's company can be without all that other stuff, but I really think we're in an age where we can't live without technology. It's sad.

I can still go ahead and have a lot of pleasure by "wasting" it all tonight. Even if it goes nowhere, if it pays nothing, no marriage, no kids, no afterlife, no heaven, no hell, no nothing, it is still worth it, just by the fun of it.
The sheer fun of it.
