Not like I need to depend upon anyone
Since I can see the lack of need for me to be here at all
One more anthem for the know-it-all
I won't be standing up for long, I'd better learn how to crawl
Learn how to crawl

In ten minutes I'll be laying out flat on the floor

Like I need to defend my own innocence
So what, I did it, I admit it, and I'm pleading the fifth
One more anthem for the know-it-all
I won't be standing up for long, I'd better learn how to crawl
Learn how to crawl

In ten minutes I'll be laying out flat on the floor

Eight minutes, I'm losin' it a little bit
Five minutes, your description might be starting to fit
Three to go and I'm forgetting all that I've ever known
I won't be standing up for long, I'd better learn how to crawl

Not like I need to depend upon anyone
Since I can see the lack of need for me to be here at all
One more anthem for the know-it-all
I won't be standing up for long, I'd better learn how to crawl
Learn how to crawl

In ten minutes I'll be laying out flat on the floor
I can't stand up at all, can't see nothing at all
In ten minutes I'll be laying out flat on the floor

General Comment:this song is about a guy who commits a crime and is being identified by witnesses, he knows he is about to be caught, this song is the thought process that the criminal has before he gets caught

General Comment:A) These lyrics are seriously messed up. Go to Nickelback.com and get the real ones. B) This song is obviously about someone who is very independent. It also seems like he might be getting into a physical fight as well as a verbal one. Alcohol probably does have something to do with this song since Chad is a drinker, does the bar thing and even has drinking contests at shows.

General Comment:i disagree with ic6md, i don't think alcohol has anything to do with it. It sounds more to me like he's being attacked by someone while he's alone and unable to stand up to them. I think it's about knowing when you're beaten and when to back out and 'crawl away'

General Comment:hehe. i really like this song. to me its about goong it alone and depending on your self. i remeber the first time iI played the cd to my freind he was expecting somthing more typical of nickle back and then this just blasts through the cd player his fucking jaw dropped.
its also the one and only song by them that has double kick drum in it. being a drummer, im very pleased about this.

General Comment:A lot of these lines are wrong...
"So what I did it I admit it and I'm pleading the fifth"
"Three to go I'm forgetting all that I've ever known"
"Can't stand up at all, can't see nothing at all"

    ----------------------
This is pretty damn self-explanatory. I think it's just about getting so drunk that you wind up on the floor.
"One More", the anthem for the know it all...

General Comment:This song is about alot of things... the pressing need for self sufficiency in a world rendered 'hopeless'. Prehaps a lack of motivation to get involved in Life... or an overwhelming tendency to self-destruct when it is impossible to make a stand against life's obstacles. The funny thing about songs, is that you tend to read your own world/life paradigm(s) into them.
