Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm going to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you
Take me for a trip upon your magic swirling ship
All my senses have been stripped
And my hands can't feel to grip and my toes too numb to step
Wait only for my boot heels to be wandering
I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade
Into my own parade
Cast your dancing spell my way
I promise to go under it
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm going to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm going to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you
Take me for a trip upon your magic swirling ship
All my senses have been stripped
And my hands can't feel to grip and my toes too numb to step
Wait only for my boot heels to be wandering
I'm ready to go anywhere, I'm ready for to fade
Into my own parade
Cast your dancing spell my way
I promise to go under it
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there ain't no place I'm going to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning, I'll come followin' you

I know that this song was famous and changed folk music and became No. 1 in US and UK and have higher position than original one in RS500 and ... but I hate it as much as I adore Dylan's version ! sorry Byrds, I don't get you
Having loved the music of Bob Dylan since 1965, I also loved the Byrds. Just because I enjoy one, it doesn't mean I have to hate the other! And Dylan himself liked the Byrds well enough to allow them to use his songs and to put their own stamp on them.
I know What you mean, but I can't listen to byrds version<br /> maybe I'm wrong ... but I realy don't like them
@Paymaan I love both versions but for me, no version comes close to The Byrds\' take on it. The Dylan version sounds like a folk song but the Byrds basically invented folk-rock, psychedelia and indie rock in 2 and a half minutes.
