I declare war on the world
War in outer space
I declare war in a nutshell
War all over the place

I declare war on every government
War against all odds
I declare war on your inner sanctum
On your blood thirsty gods

I declare war on the axis of morons
All out war on complacent consent
I declare war on the war against drugs
Rape and Slaughter of the innocent

War on big brother
Warmongers and profiteers
War on your dogma dubya
Armageddon's engineers

War in a heartbeat
I declare war on so-called civilization
World trade globalization
Organized desinformation

War on ambassadors of pretense
War on MTV and CNN
Macdonald's walt disney and bethlehem
On christina britney and eminem

I declare war on the world of anti-choice
On violent unilaterality
On the amassment of murderous high-tech toys
And all crimes against humanity

War on the moral majority
On corparate.com imperialism
On mindlessly bumbling stupidity
And police-state terrorism

Worldwar three - be all that you can be

General Comment:I think that the whole logic on declaring "war on the war against drugs" might tie in with their old song "Drug Against War" on their Angst album. On that song, they were the ultimate drug that would keep the peace and sanity of the sheeple. Declare a war on the war against drugs, and it would mean that American society is finally reaping what it had sewn, and the public are none the smarter. They brainlessly go to the slaughter in support of a leader because of patriotism. The last refuge of the scoundrel.

General Comment:KMFDM, new and old, will forever suck. (And by that, I mean rock hard.)

FreakishFae- What's so illogical about declaring "war on the war against drugs"?

They're saying that they think fighting a war against drugs is stupid. It's a pro-drug stance. It's a declaration of war against everything the 'moral majority' (that is, those who claim to be the upstanding citizens and enforce their morality on all as law.) fights and stands for.

General Comment:bollocks to z....whatever. WWIII is a masterpiece. Yes, i know some cynyical old twats will say i got sucked into it cause im a n00b, but as anyone will tell you, even the new stuff is great. they never pandered to nu metal fashions, no matter what ppl might say, they just carried on thrashing.

General Comment:Its perodying Bush and wars in general. This song actually kinda sucks. The lyrics are horribly written and the music is just ok. Plus the delivery isn't that great either. The whole WWIII album kinda sucked I think.

General Comment:Definitely a great KMFDM song. The intro kicks, and the entire progression through the sound is great. The only thing that kind of annoys me after awhile is Bush's voice heard throughout the song. Although it does a good job of mocking him, it bugs me after hearing it 1000 times. Great album, great song, great band.

General Comment:Fae, I think you should realize that this is a song which is supposed to show their basic feeling towards a bunch of things rather than an actual declaration of war. "I declare war on the world" doesn't sound like something they actually planned on doing.

The message I feel is in those lines is that they are annoyed with the world, and they are mocking Bush by saying they will declare war on it because it is something they feel should be done differently or improved. Same with war on drugs, stupidity, MTV, etc....

So, I don't think it's really illogical, or at least I don't think it should be interpretted as such, since as you suggested, I do think this songs messages are intentional.
