  General Comment:DJgif hit the nail on the head. It's really funny that each and every one of you here takes the time to go down the checklist.
  
  1) State your age, usually 13 or 14.
  2) State whether or not you shop or have shopped at Hot Topic.
  3) Confirm/deny your status as a "poser" (which, by the way, is a word used almost exclusively by the 12-15 crowd in an attempt to be "cool").
  4) Bash Green Day.
  5) Declare your allegiance to either The Clash, Dead Kennedys, or the Sex Pistols.
  
  If you had an ounce of maturity, you would at least be able to acknowledge that Green Day has been very influential and deserves some credit for that. They're popular for a reason, folks, and that reason isn't the 13-year-olds that you guys all apparently blame. The 13-year-olds are too busy complaining about Green Day sucking on the internet.

  I'm tired of you sheep, it's cool to hate green day isn't it? So yeah, let's critisize them so we don't like them and form ignorant, biased opinions to a band that in reality deserves at least a bit of your respect. Who gives a fuck if they're big and popular? It's all about the music, and this sounds good to me so I'll listen to it. I like it better than the other covers because of the energy aswell and billy joe's twangy-kind of youthful voice. It works.

  Anyway. I've loved Green Day my whole life, so I'm biased. I pretty much like anything they do.
  Fuck, they could cover Britney Spears and I'd probably like it.

  General Comment:ok uh im not 13 and i think this covers not that bad. ofcourse the clash will always own this although they didnt write it, its still my fav. song by them. and by the way i dont think green day ever said they were punk...i could be wrong though. anyways good cover.

  and lu_EK all Green Day songs do NOT sound the same. actually Green Day is one of the few bands that can keep changing and still sound good and keep their style. And all of you stop talking shit about them. I know they're really mainstream, but it doesn't make them bad and if you only listen to bands that are unknown and not really care what music is good and what's not you're morons. I don't like my favorite bands being mainstream but some of them are and I'm not gonna stop listening them because of that as long as I like the music. so stop the goddamn pathetic whining you hypocrites. assholes.
