Lyrics for Sadie as interpreted by b-pot

Sadie Lyrics
You’re on your own my little nightmare,
you cannot stay here
It’s far too bright for you.
If they attack you just lay there, Play dead dear,
it’s your only hope of pulling through.

And seconds they seem like a lifetime.
A dream, recurring,
a dream that can’t come true.
And they’ll pin it all on you
after all you’ve been put through.

“Sadie G. She’s crazy, see?”
that’s what the white coats say.
Now Ms. Susan A. you’re losing
every opportunity to put us all away.

You’re on your own my little nightmare.
Your job is done here.
You’ve scared them all to death.
If they revive them just sit here.
Just smile dear.
Make them thankful for every breath.

This sentence may seem like a lifetime,
a scream, that curdling
The blood they found on you.
And your knives and clothing too.
Charlie’s broken .22

Well they found you
and they shipped you up the river
the same way
That you bound and gagged.
You shot and stabbed.
You tried to set them free,
but they’ve thrown away the keys.

"He represented a God to me that was so beautiful that I'd do anything for him.I'd do anything for God. Even murder, if I believed it was right. How could it not be right if it is done with love? I have no remorse for doing what was right to me.
I have no guilt in me."

That's what the insert of the Promo says:

It's a great song. Trio's long time merch girl Heather Hannoura reads Sadie's little confession thing during the bridge.

I heard this song live for the first time on the punkvoter tour, it gave me chills at the end of the song when he said..."You know the light at the end of the tunnel you see when you die? I think i just saw it..."

DVagnoni87, the album insert says Nolan McGuire does "additional" guitar on Sadie - which is probably the solo you're on about. Although it would be nice if it was Matt ( he himself admits he's a "hack at guitar")!!!

Yeah, at the moment it's my favourite on the split too! Although I usaully go through "phases" of liking different tracks all the time, it took me two or three listens of the split to decide that I liked it (but the same can be said for Good Mouring and Maybe I'll catch Fire)!!!

Anyways, yeah, this song is definately about Manson and his "family". Susan Atkins, whose testimony is read by Heather Hannoura (long time Trio "designer") during the song, is what the song is about. There's reference to the man himself too: "Charlie’s broken .22".
It's interesting reading (if a bit disturbing) if you want to go into it!!! Matt truly is a modern day punk rock poet!!!

The lyrics are wrong at top, the correct lyrics are:

You're on your own my little nightmare you cannot stay here
It's far too bright for you
If they attack you just lay there,
Play dead dear, it's your only hope of pulling through.

And seconds they seem like a lifetime.
A dream, recurring, a dream that can't come true.
And they'll pin it all on you
after all you've been put through.

"Sadie G. she's crazy, see?"
That's what the white coats say.
Now Ms. Susan A. is losing
every opportunity to put us all away.

Go run along my little nightmare.
Your job is done here.
You've scared them all to death.
If they revive them just sit there.
Just smile dear. Make them thankful for every breath.

The sentence may seem like a lifetime, a scream, that curdling the blood they found on you.
And your knives and clothing too.
Charlie's broken .22

"Sadie G. she's crazy, see?"
That's what the white coats say.
Now Ms. Susan A. is losing
every opportunity.

Well they found you and they shipped you up the river the same way that you've bound and gaged.
You've shot and stab.
You tried to set them free, but they've thrown away the keys.

"I think that if I found a god to me that was so beautiful that I'd do anything for him. I'd do anything for god. Even murder, if I believed it was god, how could it not be right? Because he said it was. I have no remorse for the killer inside of me, I have no guilt in me"

Really loving the new version on the new album 'Crimson'. Alot more 80's style, like the rest of the album.

the version on Crimson is definitely better I think. Also, the quote at the end where Sadie is supposed to be talking is different.

awesome song, his voice isn't that different, it was messed up on Good Mourning from some problems with his vocal chords (still sounded awesome) but the new voice is mastered more on the new track also. . . .Pro Tools.

Great song. I'd never heard that quote before and it's quite distrubing to read it. Crazy stuff.

Another great album by Trio.
