Safe sex, the diaphram, lacking of your self-control.
Diary, the top drawer, your mother wished she'd never seen.
I just wanted to be loved she said.
Its something that I never had.
Call him at three am, wishing to be reassured.
He'd love to, of course he would, Anything to get you in his bed.
Goodnight she said, Im gonna start a revolution
And you can be the star(t) of it, its in my head.
Footprints, and fallen leaves;
these are the kind of things lovers think of.
Backseats and motels; these are the places that theyve been.
You want none of these things, these are the things that make us weak.
There went the world
Just one girl

"and i wouldn't think twice? the blank something... and there went the world"
im not too sure what he says.
'Footprints, and fallen leaves' - to me this is about how romantic she'd always imagined love and sex to be, and instead it was somewhat sleazy - 'backseats and motels'...
'there went the world, just one girl' - I interprate that as the guys perspective, and that he has only wanted her for sex and she was just another girl on his list, and he didnt see her beauty, and how amazing she was.
simple as that...i love it.
