  My Opinion:Ok, I had to make an account on this site just to get my opinion in, but first of all the genre of AILD should be changed, they are anything but Death Metal... And my opinion, and can be a proven fact easily, is that this drummer isn't as fast as some of you believe, Like dpf62984, he mentioned that there are infact only a few bands faster than AILD, Theres many more.. Like, As Blood Runs Black, Five Finger Death Punch, Vanna, Beneath The Sky, Dimmu Borgir, and August burns Red, and so many more, not to mention August Burns Reds' drummer is probably the best besides mike portnoy from dream theatre.. Im not hating on AILD but some of you kids make him out to be a god, he isnt..

  General Comment:ok i see how people think this song is about a relationship. if you watch the video it appears. but As I Lay Dying is a christian band, so i thought. looking at the lyrics i get a relationship vibe.

    No, they didn't. It says on their website that was a coincidence. It was in the FAQs section.
    
    I'm really not sure where "As I Lay Dying" got their name, but ^ is a theory. And, after thinking more about it, 94 hours is probably not the time Jesus spent in the grave or on the cross, but more likely a personal experience.

  General Comment:I just realized that 94 hours is the time that Jesus Christ was dying on the cross...

  Now looking at the perfect innocence of Christ, the lyricist feels that as sinful humans, we deserved this type of suffering, not Christ. Looking at the "torment in His eye", he seems so pitiful that we "beg His forgiveness" when we sin against Him.

    And also probsably not. They are Christian, but the lyrics aren't always christ centered. he said it in an interview he said all the lyrics are written about life, relationship, death through a christian viewpoint.

  And not ragging on the song, but for all you people on the first page, it is NOT that fastesat double kick. Listen to some tech/brutal death or grindcore. THAT's fast.
