    General Comment:actually Why? made this song about a chicken stuck in a chicken coop her whole life just making babies for our consumption... he made it to see what other people would intreprete it as, but it is simply about a female chicken and her depressing existence, he is saying its not right for her whole life to be laying eggs for us in a coop... its actually a brilliant experiment and you are the rat...

    General Comment:Yoni said that it's literally about hens raised for eggs. He said that one night he was on the internet, looking at a website about why you should be vegan, and they were talking about how horrible the chickens are treated, and the next morning while he was taking a shower, he heard his sister and his mother making eggs in the kitchen, and he just started singing the song to himself. And two years later, it was recorded. =]

    I guess that shows you that not every song has to be a metaphor.

    General Comment:I kind of thought it was a metaphor for an older women who got stuck with a shitty husband who wanted it to be just the two of them, but now it's too getting too late for that, and so she feels totally trapped, is all, maybe.
