  General Comment: I know for a fact it has to do with nervousness. When I first heard this song I cried because I could do nothing but identify with it completely. There's nothing left so let it go. The situation she's talking about causes her nothing but intense severe anxiety and because of that she can't stop thinking about it constantly. It's drained her. She's done. Time to give it up. Done. But there's something holding her there. Control. Love. whatever it be. She wants it gone but it won't go away. To run away and get out. It's complicated to explain. I will say this, it hurts so bad. Like a stabbing pain in the chest you just can't escape. She's trying so hard to scream this message out. Brody couldn't have written this better.

  General Comment:I figured it was a love song, but Brody says it isn't. Yeah, it makes sense. Whenever my heart beats crazy fast it is because I am around someone who is disturbing or scaring me.
  
  I have known people who've caused this to happen to me. It is hard to take. I had to run the damage is done.

  General Comment:It could be about love, but as many of you mentioned Brody says before live performances and in the video "This is not a love song". I'm not one of those people that think EVERY rock song is about drugs, but this could be.

  General Comment:My first interpretation on this song was... Drugs.
  Just the desperation in the lyrics.
  Not every song ever made has to manditorily be about love.

  General Comment:Wow lol lots of proposed meanings, but the thing is, the "This is not a love song" thing is a quote from the Sex Pistols. I'm amazed nobody caught on to that one :/ lol yeah I think it's about being caught in the middle of loving someone and hating someone. Cheers.
